I have been told that the bigger the better.

I have been thinking about buying a house, so just wondering if it matters much buying a house with 5 bedrooms vs just a standard 3 bedroom one, most common nowadays, for starting a family and all.

I've found that I'm a bit of a size queen when it comes to houses. But I'm more looking for spacious rooms than more rooms.

But does it matter? It's going to matter some tax wise. And it's going to matter paying to heat and Air Condition (if you're using central air and you can't zone off those areas).

you don't need a 5-BR unless you have 4 teenage kids or a huge home business

yes it matters. it always matters. the bigger, the better.

you can always convert the other bedrooms into a playroom or entertainment room while you're waiting for the family to fill out.

That's a basketball team, not a family.
