Gasol couldn't score on Draymond Green.
Jordan killed the Warriors small ball lineup in the 2014 playoffs.

when do ppl learn: its about team needs!
when two players have entirely different skillsets, it is all about the fit.
marc is by faaar a more well-rounded offensive player, you can structure your offense around his passing, he is a great team leader, has great defensive court awareness.
deandre is a dumb fukkker who jumps out of the gym. on a team where you can get by by having an all-athelticims big - he is your choice!

This.
Goobersol has zero post game, and his defense is vastly over-rated.

The exact same applies to Jordan, except he also can't hit Free Throws or pass.

He can at least rebound though. Goobersol is completely worthless.

Hmm, you have a point there, Glenn.

Pretty good for a man with no moves...let's not forget that he's much better:
- team defender
- 1:1 defender
- positions himself better
- one of the most consistent bigs when it comes to boxing out
- better at recognising and reading situations on the floor
How screwed is Clippers's spacing because DJ doesn't have any range and can't even distribute from any post position?
People shit on Marc for his low rebounding numbers, but the biggest reason for his low numbers is because he actually boxes out the way he should - as early and far from the basket as possible - and enables his teammates to catch the ball. Compare that to DJ who will go for the ball even if it's obvious his teammate would've got it. Sometimes for the price of fumbling the ball.
DJ has little to no game and needs to be set up, doesn't have any range and can't create for others. Can't shoot free throws. Only thing he's clearly better at is offensive rebounding and finishing the lobs.
Marc is the better player, there is no situations in which DJ is the more appropriate player, at least not in basketball.

If Jordan starts to hit 55-60+% free throws, he's the clear choice.

Jordan is easily the better team defender, and quite possibly the man defender as well.
And can't create for others? Really? That's a plus if you can get it from your center, but not a must.
I mean, Joakim Noah is the second best C at creating for others. Does that make him superior to DJ? Brad Miller was one of the GOAT C's at creating for others. Is he a top 25 player of all time?

Seems dumb to me. Some one please post that play with Chris Paul where Jordan doesn't realize that there's still time on the clock and Paul is cussing him out to shoot it. And thanks, Jordan, for that offensive goal tend vs Spurs in the playoffs. This is not even mentioning the fiasco this past off-season.

A healthy Noah is better than DJ for sure, just as Marc is now (though all three are vastly overrated).
And no, Jordan isn't the better man defender. I love Duncan, but at his age he shouldn't be schooling anyone on offense in a 7 game series. That's exactly what he did to Jordan.

Gasol is the only reason Memphis is legit... not ZBO or Conley. Its Gasol...hes a defensive beast like DeAndre but he can also post up legit. Gotta take Marc Gasol.

gasol. he literally does everything better except for rebounding.
not sure how this is even a comparison

Your comparing polar opposites, a player who has refined his game to maximize what he has vs a guy who is big and tall who can jump high.

Both have gotten overrated the last couple years. I still take Gasol tho.

Marc Gasol is undoubtedly the better player. He takes inefficient jumpshots to keep the spacing between him and Randolph roomy.
Overall, Gasol is the more skilled guy.
