Are the Eagles the best franchise not to win a ship?

In all North American sports? Or a Superbowl at least, not sure about pre Super bowl titles.

I can't think of a stronger organization that hasn't gone all the way.

I'd easily take the Vikings over the Eagles. Been dominant the majority of the past 45 years with nothing to show for it except a few incredible stomach punch losses.

the eagles won the NFL championship in 1948, 1949 and 1960.

it's only the super bowl they've had trouble with.

in 1991 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1991_Philadelphia_Eagles_season) they had arguably the greatest defense in NFL history. it was mainly put together by buddy ryan (father of the ryan twins) and was coached by bud carson... the guy who ran the steeler's legendary "steel curtain," which won championships in 4/6 years.

anyway, their defense was crushing offenses like i've never seen before or since, but without their star QB their offense sucked. they only finished 10-6 and just missed the playoffs.

yeah they've definitely had some hard luck when it comes to superbowls.
