IMAGINE if one of our 'heroes' did that today.
And to think we shortsell Larry every chance we get.

Actually, I think Bron did that twice, in a row, in wins, and he still gets hated on for one of those series'....

What?.. How does 7 assists compare to 9.5?... That's 30% less...
Also, it's a fact that Lebron had more energy at the end of the 2012 season, so his championship run wasn't as hard compared to guys who won in 82 game seasons.
In other words - all of Bird's, Magic's and MJ's championship seasons are more impressive than Lebron's 2012... Of course in 2013, Lebron only shot 44.8% and only averaged 25 ppg.. That would be the 2nd worst Finals of MJ's career, and one of his 3 worst-ever playoff performances.
Also, the Spurs embarrassed and exposed Lebron by letting him shoot WIDE OPEN like he was a girl trying to play with the guys.. Then he needed Jesus to save him from being 1/6... As usual, these are all facts... Lebron's 2013 Finals was more like "whew, almost got owned", then "i'm boss player that runs shit"

Actually, if you were watching basketball that season and not 20 year old youtube highlight reels you'd know that season the lockout schedule was brutal.

82 games is a much longer season 60 games or whatever it was... 82 games isn't a sprint you can get up for one time..
Also, you didn't mention anything about my other points... Therefore, you must agree that the 2013 Spurs played Lebron like a girl who is trying to play with the guys, by letting him shoot WIIIIIIDE OPEN jumpers over and over... and you agree that the Spurs would never DARE do that to Kobe and MJ, since that would be certain death.
btw, one of the main reasons Kobe is better than Lebron is because we know he'd fare better in the 80's - he was elite in the areas necessary TO BE elite back then (post, midrange, iso)... Whereas, Lebron is only elite at drive-and-kick, so his game is only suited for the current environment.. Whereas Kobe and MJ's game was suited for any era, because they were elite in ALL areas - they didn't rely so heavily on just one area like Lebron.

He defended Hakeem very well in the post too. Mchale was getting torched by him but Larry killed alot of Houstons offense. Nikkas underrate Birds athleticism/strength. Dude was strong as an ox, he was waxing big bodies like Moses Malone on the board when he had him as an assignment too during that era. He didnt have footspeed but just pure strength he was an animal

Your other points weren't worth responding to imo. Again if you were watching basketball that year you'd know they had an abnormal number of back to backs and back to back to backs that year trying to compress those 66 games into the season.
All these make believe scenarios about lebron prove the lengths you have to travel to discredit him. He plays to his era. Mj played to his. Everyone does. You make idiotic points sometimes.

Yeah, the schedule for that strike shortened season was ridiculous. Shame on Stern for trying to maximize profits and not thinking about putting out a good product. So many back to backs it wasn't even funny.

Only player who have ever averaged a triple-double in a Finals series :applause:
Playing some major team defense as well, even averaging 2.7 steals per game to go along with everything else.
Bird was just EVERYWHERE, pure basketball brilliance...
Closing game6 was simply a masterpiece to see from him:

And he was being guarded by a great defender/athlete in Rodney McCray, with Hakeem and Sampson in the paint, game played under tougher rules... Pace at 96.7 for the series, btw.
Look at the disruptive defense he was playing, look at him guarding Sampson on switches, look at some of those double-teams on Hakeem :applause:
Larry was at his best level in 1986, a top5 GOAT peak... I believe his 1984 post-season was his best Playoffs run though.
McHale in the 86 finals..

Right  Even watched the series? By that comment alone., I'm sure you didn't.
Bird was easily Boston's best and most impactful player, not even a discussion to be had there.
And some people love to mention McHale's numbers but do you think he would've averaged those types of stats playing alongside a (very) different #1 option? Or even, think he would've gotten close to the same success while being the main-man?
Larry took the most attention with him everywhere he went or else Kevin wouldn't have had the space he needed to operate, plus LB set him up for lots of easy buckets, and Bird wasn't ball-dominant so he passed it quickly when McHale reached his sweet-spots...
Obviously, Larry knew when to take over because McHale wasn't that alpha dog type of player.
Since y'all love numbers, riddle me this... Why did Kevin went from averaging 22.6 PPG on 60.4% FG with 2.7 APG and 2.2 TO's in '88 to 22.5 PPG on 54.6% FG with 2.2 APG and 2.5 TO's in '89? :confusedshrug: He suffered that serious injury in '87 so there's no excuse there.
Yea, that's right, it's because Bird was sidelined in 1989... Oh, and Larry wasn't even at his VERY best in 1988, plus the Celtics had Reggie Lewis to replace him in 1989; team success being much worse too.

That's funny, 'cause you could literally make all those same arguments for Kobe, yet that wouldn't stop you fa*gots from proclaiming Gasol "the true finals MVP" :applause:

You are probably right, but those people who would be dumping wouldn't be looking at the total game. In the first 8 point game Bird also had 13 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals in a 23 point Boston win. In the 2nd 8 point game Bird had 12 rebounds 7 assists and 2 steals in a 5 point Boston loss.
