According to the comments the homeless man had previously been convicted of first degree murder, as well as many other crimes. I guess he was trying to pay penance for his sins. Look at where being a good guy got him. :(

On a side note, half those cops look really unprofessional letting their pistols dangle at the end of their arms. These are the guys supposed to be protecting the public during the Olympic games? :facepalm

Your life can go like that guys. Just say thanks each day you wake up and can take a breath. What that homeless man did was admirable. He was shot in the head at least once, it's kinda sad to see him stand there for a few moments and than slump over. Am sure he felt his life going at that moment. I've seen people die, when they go it's a melancholy moment.

You'll see more and more shit cops as the good cops decide not to be cops or decide trying to save street trash isn't worth risking their lives.

Well he took a point blank bullet right in the middle of his chest by the hostage taker. It would take a miracle to survive that.
