I'll be honest. The 1st season of Prison Break was goat level material. I may be an idiot, but I stopped watching Breaking Bad after the 1st season. Sure Prison Break drags on, but I finished the show. Nearing the end of the show, it was borderline meh for me. I still like it. But I am OK with saying BB is indubitably better. I don't know how serious of a thread this is.

I agree. First season Prison Break is up there with The Walking Dead season 1.

I personally don't see how any show could ever be more interesting, intriguing, addicting, genius, and just flat out good as Breaking Bad but that's just my opinion.

Prison Break season 1 was better then Breaking Bad's season 1-4. Breaking Bad season 5 however was perfect television.

Breaking Bad was a great show.
But Season 1 of Prison Break was arguably the best season of tv ever. Such a beastly show.
Breaking Bad more consistent. Prison Break had a better peak.

Yeah but One season of Prison break is as long as two of Breaking Bad.
But to those who haven't seen the first season of Prison Break. Get ready for some compelling drama.

Haven't watched Breaking Bad.
But for Prison Break:
Season 1 (may be the greatest single season in a TV series that I have personally seen) > Season 2 (the story gets a little wild and spread out to different characters, the first prisoner to die after the escape was one of my favorite characters) >>> Season 4 (I was kind of lost at times in this season, some of the plot really doesn't make much sense. T-Bag was awesome in this season though, he was my favorite despite being probably the most evil/corrupt prisoner who escaped) >>>>>>> Season 3 (Panama?! I really could careless about the prison exchange honestly. I thought either of the prisoners weren't that important to the plot anyway).
I tried not giving away too much.
Prison Break has some re-watchability factors but not by much.
First time I watched it, it was coming on T.V.. I stopped watching by about 1/3rd way through Season 3. It wasn't a popular show anymore because of the Panama twist. A lot of people I know lost interest. Show peaked in the beginning and went down afterwards. Think of Tyreke Evan's career and that's pretty much Prison Break's trajectory. They were planning on making more seasons apparently but some of the actors/actresses asked the show to end in Season 4 I believe. The last couple minutes of the finale was cool though. I felt like at least in the beginning, they didn't make it obvious who was going to die. But after a few seasons, I was able to predict which prisoner or person may get hurt/killed.

Never watched Prison Break, don't ever plan on it either. Breaking Bad has zero replay value.

Seasons 1-3 of Breaking Bad are better than any Prison Break season, though s1 of PB was pretty great.
Show fell off hard from there as did BB, but ultimately BB was the much better show.

Season 4 was really by far the worst of PB cmon...
BB has like 3 GOAT level seasons (3-5), PB has one, BB has 2 more great ones (1-2), PB has one more great one, one mediocre one, one absolutely trash.

Prison Break got ridiculous in the later seasons...as expected...how long can you possibly stretch out that story line.
But it was still cool to me to watch continously...kinda mind numbing and simple TV that i could watch while using my phone and stuff.

Like many others have said, the first season of Prison Break was really really good. Got me hooked in right away and was solid all season. But as with pretty much any major network show, it just losses it's way and gets too crazy. I watched all the seasons because I was invested in the characters but the premise got ridiculous.
Breaking Bad on the other hand didn't hook me in right away. I started watching few seasons in and if I hadn't had so many people who I respect tell me how great it was I would have quit on it. I really didn't even start to get super into it until maybe season 3. But looking at all the season together it's not even close, BB is way better.
I find that HBO and AMC and the only channels that allow shows to be what they are supposed to be season to season. Every other network turns a good premised show into something crazy or a generic soap opera.

Breaking Bad is a top 5 show of alltime with arguably the GOAT tv character/development. Prison Break fell off hard after a strong start like Homeland. Not close

It's hard to explain, the show is one of my top 10 favorite all time shows, I think the pilot was great too, but something about it didn't draw me in for a while. I never thought the show was bad, you could always see how well written it was. But I never had that 'I have to see the next episode' feeling during the first few seasons.

Prison break dropoff from Season 1 = Dexter drop off from Season 4.
TV Shows that just milk the audience for more money always fall apart. The best thing about Breaking Bad and hopefully GOT as well is that they don't care about viewership or potentially tens or hundreds of millions of advertisement dollars. They have a story to tell and once that story is done, we're out.

Breaking Bad easily.
As many people stated, PB fizzled out after season 1.
Dexter seasons 1-4 does rival Breaking Bad for goat television status in my books.
LOST's pilot is ****ing garbage
I disagree. It starts as a plane wreck survivor show, but before the end of the episode, it already has you questioning what the heck is going on. Perfect intro to the show.
