View Full Version : Did Kobe have the most 30pt games of any 3 year stretch in playoff history?

30 point games

Kobe (08-10) = 41

Jordan (91-93) = 37

Disel (00-02) = 28

bran (12-14) = 28 **13-15 = 27**

the playoff format changed in the mid 2000's to where the first round was best of 7 instead of best of 5 so that should be noted, but still very impressive :applause: :applause:

I'm probably the biggest leBRONZE fan here but Ill admit kobe is way better than leBRONZE and he did have the most 30pt games...kinda sucks leBRONZE can't do that....

He played 9 more games in that stretch than Jordan did.

But yea it was a great 3 year stretch of basketball.

Guess it was too difficult to include PPG and at least FG% or TS%?

How about some other numbers to help give us a better idea about the quality of each player's 3-year playoff run...

Jordan: 33.7 PPG | 49.7% FG | 57.2% TS | .267 WS/48 | 29.5 PER

Shaq: 29.9 PPG | 55.2% FG | 56.2% TS | .238 WS/48 | 29.3 PER

Kobe: 29.8 PPG | 46.4% FG | 56.9% TS | .203 WS/48 | 25.5 PER

LeBron: 27.9 PPG | 51.4% FG | 60.4% TS | .272 WS/48 | 29.8 PER

haters love to change the topic :oldlol:

Kobe with the most 30 point games of any 3 year stretch in playoff history

Kobe was scoring the same amount of points on better efficiency than Shaq.. (Kobe at 30 putting up prime Jordan efficiency) who is supposedly the MDE during that stretch...

that's pretty damn good, and he didn't have a player as Kobe (01 & 02) like Shaq did during his runs taking away defensive attention..

TheMarkMadsen

notice how these stat nerds wanna bring up WS/48 in a thread about raw scoring totals :oldlol:

WS/48 2015 Cavs playoffs

Lebron = .173

Tristan Thompson = .167

Kyrie = .209

Wow so Lebron was barely more impactful than TT during this post season, and was worse than Kyrie...

great stat... :facepalm

Because Kobe didn't need as good of a player in 2009 and 2010 as his 2001 and 2002 self to win titles. The West wasn't as strong in '08-'10 as it was from '00-'02. Swap Kobe's '08-'10 Lakers with Shaq's '00-'02 Lakers and they don't win shit. They don't even reach the Finals let along win a championship.

Notice how these Kobe fanboys wanna bring up only scoring totals and ignore pretty much every other facet of the game.

i just find it funny.. that in a thread purely about scoring you want to bring up WS/48..

if you want to discuss that then make your own thread, why bring up something totally unrelated to the original thread topic :confusedshrug: :confusedshrug:

notice how you completely avoided my post destroying WS/48..

the same stat that shows bran barely having a bigger impact in the 2015 playoffs than tristan thompson and having less impact than irving..

i don't even like lebron..

but that is ridiculous..

and then PER.. the same stat that has CB34, Cp3, Wade, David Robinson and Neil Johnston ranked higher than Magic & Kareem..

AlphaWolf24

Per....the stat that shows Nick Collison is more impactful player then Steph Curry.....

Just use your brain, it's simple logic really.

As for people changing the topic, it's a shitty one to begin with. People try to make it more applicable, useful, adding other important aspects to it that actually give us a whole picture.

If you are going to try and "get" a drunk..at least know...we don't give shit about much, bro. lol. That's our MO. You don't drink yourself to death caring about much, honey.

...dont worry though, I'm pretty much done with this shit forum...i like to talk about baskeball. My life is shit enough to comeon here and try to talk about basketball with a bunch of 12 year olds.
