Bosh should be listed at C tbh

Don't even have enough to make a version of Miami's back to back team :(

Chalmers- 1
Wade- 5
LeBron- 5
Haslem- 4
Bosh- 5
RayRay- 2

= 22

#stacked :(

4 Rice

4 Shaq

3 Mashburn

Alonzo Mourning
Grant Long
Lebron James
Dwyane Wade
Mario Chalmers
Jamal Mashburn

The way I see it, the team MUST include Wade, Lebron, and Mourning. They are the top 3 players in Heat history, and having that trio in their prime would be ridiculous. Forget offense, imagine the defense those guys would play. Teams would struggle just to get shots off. Grant Long was also an excellent defensive player and solid rebounder.

Not really, though Bosh is obviously the weakest of the three. Since Wade has played his entire career with the Heat you can hypothetically take any version of him. I know most people would choose 2009 but I think I'd go with '07 pre-injury.

Man, my guy Grant Long is getting no love. He's one of the better bargains of any of the players listed.

In 1992 he put up 15/8 with 1.7 steals on 49% FG and was solid defensively. He was a hard worker and a great locker room guy. I was so pissed when we traded him to Atlanta.

Your team is ass defensively, and the number totals are irrelevant if your trying to build an actual cohesive team. Those guys would obviously not be putting up those numbers if they were playing together.

I'll take my team of

Mourning
Long
Lebron
Wade
Chalmers
Mashburn

over yours any day.

great offensive players are barely even effected by great defense

great players get theirs regardless...

a great defense shuts down the role players of a team

great offense over great defense

6 stars in their prime > 4 and 2 role players

sorry.

and you really only listed 2 great defenders on your team anyway... mourning/wade

chalmers - 1
wade - 5
james - 5
odom -2
mourning -5
6th man battier -2

elite defense (shot blocking, wing, trapping, all kinds of defensive looks), great offense with good spacing, all at their peak, can run but all have good size, 3 shot creators (odom is very underrated).

didn't pick shaq because he was old and injured by that time, otherwise peak shaq at center and 6th man james posey.

would run a train on the league tbh.

No kidding, an all time team versus every other team having regular teams? An all time Kings or Timberwolves team would run a train on the league too

Also, fk the Heat and OP for pretending to be a Heat fan.

:facepalm @ your comments about defense. A trio of prime Wade, Lebron, and Mourning is going to give ANYONE difficulties. A Willis, Odom, and Rice frontcourt is laughably bad defensively.

You are still not getting it in regards to a team being > individual parts. Great teams NEED role players. You cannot have 5-6 guys who need the ball to be optimally effective. Also, Odom and Kevin Willis are stars now? Odom had a nice year in Miami but I don't think I'd call him a star. As for Willis, I don't care what the numbers say, he was GARBAGE in Miami. One of my most hated Heat players ever. I hate the term "empty stats" but Willis is the embodiment of that concept. You ain't winning shit with him as one of your best players, and he is not capable of being an effective role player.

If they were all in there prime absolutely, but remember, it has to be a version of the player that played for the Heat. That means a 38 year old Allen and a 33 year old Shaq. That team would also be pretty awful defensively.
