If yes, why do you put man made chemicals in your body? Do you enjoy hangovers, brain fog, muscle aches, and all of the other side effects?

I use one per week maximum. I usually use it on Sunday since I stay up late on the weekends and on Sunday night i need to get back to my normal 10 pm bed time.

Many other medicines are "man made".

You weigh the risk with the reward.

For me getting some sleep on Sunday is highly important so the reward is higher than the risk.

I also used to take sleeping pills the night before a big exam in college. It helped, and that reward was bigger than the risk.

But they give you brain fog and hangovers. Why not use Cannabis instead?

Use benadryl. Not in excess, just the 1 or 2 you need to allergies. Gets you groggy, and by the next morning at worst you're thirsty (like a lot of medicines it uses water to clear itself out.

Xanax seems excessive.

Dude, you got to stop it with the whole MJ cure all thing. Do you realize there are so many places out there that drug test for use of any drug including MJ? Might be BS to you but it's reality.

Use this if I'm having a really hard time falling asleep but otherwise I'm good. I think it has the same active ingredient as benadryl.

Yes I am obviously aware. That's what pissed me off so much and makes me so passionate about the topic. This is a plant that should be prescribed to even young children for insomnia and many other things but instead it is a victim of corruption and people have their lives ruined over the prohibition of it.

These worked very well when I used them. The trick is to use them for around 2 weeks so that your sleep schedule is stable. Exercising 2-3 hours before bed also helps a lot, although it might differ for some people.

Smoking weed before bed makes me worse off in the morning compared to if I take melatonin or have a few beers.

That's odd

What did you feel like? Did you take it with anything else?

For al induce sleep but not a sedative I'd try these:

- Ashwaghanda, Natural adaptagen. Helps calmness and balance
- ZMA, Zinc + magnesium is commonly used in the bodybuilding world taken before bed to help increase GH production. It is not a sedative so will not induce sleep by increasing melatonin production
- GABA, similar effects as ZMA
- Holy Basil, Increases serotonin and helps relieve stress

Natural sedatives:

- Valarian
- 5-HTP
- Malatonin
- Chamomille
- Warm Milk

Says who.

I've never had any after effects using Unisom (doxylamine succinate is the chemical compound in it).

I used to take a bunch at once when I was addicted to drugs.

That shit was scary. I'd wake up in the middle of the night paralyzed unable to breathe.

Every time I smoke before bed I wake up foggy compared to if I don't smoke before bed.

Just like whenever I smoke my brain feels cloudy and doesn't work as well compared to when I am not high.

It's marinuana. It has many affects on the body and brain

Ashwaghanda is a sedative compound.
It adaptagenic. It can be used to pick people up when they're sluggish. The main properties of it is to balance the central nervous system. It will not cause drowsiness, mainly calmness.

Diphenhydramine usually has one feeling pretty groggy the next day, especially in the morning.

10mg of Ambien and you can wake up after 6 hours feeling really fresh. Waking after smoking bud is extremely rough - you can sleep 10 hours and still feel exhausted and foggy-headed - it is especially noticeable after a break from smoking, when one has no tolerance. OP is full of shit, as usual.

Benzos and Ambien are just far more effective in dealing with high-stress periods, when sleep is a must, but your body and mind won't shut down.

Every time i use ashwagandha i feel stupid and slowed, if you consider this calm, then you are probably right. Combined with weed get 2-3 times worse. Most publications ive seen lists ashwagandha as a sedative substance, besides being an adaptogen. Probably the weakest adaptogen ive tried so far (ive tried panax giseng, eleuthero, maca root, jiaogulan, american ginseng, etc), but has very interesting effect on my erection tho. :oldlol:
