Let's once and for all see what teams are the most attractive.
Let's also assume that every team is a contender to keep it fair and take away the current state of the team.

You could base your ranking on anything. City, weather, history, fame, front office, coaching, women.

For me:

1. Knicks = King of NYC, who wouldn't want that?
2. Lakers = Great city, amazing franchise.
3. Heat = Based on the city. One of my favorites, the weather, the women, the lifestyle, taxes...
4. Raptors = Amazing city, great fanbase. A whole country
5. Clippers = City, weather, fame.
6. Bulls = Big city, great fanbase, great history, big market
7. Magic = The weather, all about that weather
8. Celtics = Great fanbase, great history, winning mentality, sports town.
9. Spurs = Pop, ability to stay on top
10. Nets = NYC, crazy owner who pays a lot

Why do so many people think LA is some great city. It's not even close to NY or Chicago.

That's all it is. Nothing past that.

EDIT: I forgot to look at it in the eyes of an athlete. Carry on.

9. Toronto
10. Portland

Top 5 are obvious. No income tax.

Knicks and Nets would probably be near the bottom for me. Terrible weather, awful franchises. Trust me, the North East is miserable for almost half the year. You freeze your ass off, the sun goes down at 5 PM, driving conditions are terrible, etc. It's ****ing awful.

True, probably would put all the Texas and Cali teams.

Yet, Toronto still make your Top 9. Damn, what a city.

Toronto is probably the best city in North America. Climate is the only bad part about it.

I prefer Montreal and Vancouver if we are talking about Canada, but Toronto is still nice

I'd choose Cali overall, obviously the Lakers over the Clips lol

For architecture and urban planning, Manhattan takes the cake imo. as I hate sprawl

Being a rich athlete you'd want a big house away from all the annoying people. The L.A. area has Beverly Hills, Malibu, etc. + the weather, scenery, laid back attitude, and fine women

I'm guessing you've never been to LA. And if you have, what part?

The south bay (where I grew up): Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Palos Verdes, all the way up to Santa Monica are some of the most beautiful places to live in the states.

New York is clearly the best city in the states IMO, but LA is the only other city that comes close (San Fran is up there as well).

I'd live in Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis, Vancouver or Toronto way before I considered LA.

El Segundo <---

And you're right. That's the problem with brainless tourists (although some actually do their homework). They think LA is just downtown, but they have no idea its an entire county either.

Rolling Hills, Malibu, Hermosa... PV and Manhattan are some of the nicest places on earth for actual city living.

You just ain't about that life.

I like culture and climate, not living in a polluted, overcrowded desert full of fake glitter where the weather is the same year round.

If it had to a city in Cali, it would most def be San Fran.

Yeah, El Segundo is the shit too.

I actually grew up right on the edge of Manhattan Beach and El Segundo on Rosecrans and Sepulveda. 10 mins from the beach and 15 mins from LAX.

Yeah the weather is same all year round, which means beautiful weather all year round. Especially, living on the coast.

And culture? Come on dude. LA is the biggest melting pot in the US not named NYC.

Did you go to school here or? I grew up near Dominguez Hills and Compton. Moved here at 18, and never looked back :pimp:

Boring, I grew up with seasons, and sometimes the weather sucks, but it makes you appreciate the nice weather. And it's more interesting.

If you ask people to name US/Canadian cities with a lot of culture, they're going to say NY of course, Chicago, Boston, Portland, San Fran, Austin, Vancouver. LA won't come up.

Yeah, I went to high school in Manhattan Beach before heading to Miami for college.

Miami, by the way, sucks in comparison to NYC (where I live now) and LA. :oldlol:

Maybe LA has tons of culture and I just never here about it in my part of the country. I do hear a lot about San Fran (friends who live and visit there), Boston (lived near there), and the other places I mentioned. It's interesting that most people I've known had little desire to move to LA, but they would consider places like Portland or Austin. To be fair, most of them wouldn't want to live in NYC either.

As for weather, I do know what I'm talking about, and I do prefer seasonal variation.

I did have relatives who lived in San Diego, and it was nice to visit there, but it wouldn't be one of top places I'd like to move to.

Now that I think about it, I'm surprised nobody mentions Denver. Talk about a place that's growing like crazy, with tons of Cali transplants. And the Rockies are beautiful.

San Diego is nice aesthetically, but it's definitely a bro town. Pretty much surfing and bars.
