What a stupid list. Some pairs complement each other role wise while others fill a similar niche. Shouldn't a fair list have listed big man/small man or something along those lines? Not guard/guard then guard/centre.

Sure, but if you put Jordan with any all-time big or even AD, everyone but Lebron and Kobe stans are picking "the one with Jordan".

Serious question, though. If the Bulls had another top 6 pick in 84, and you were the GM, would you have taken Barkley to team up with Jordan, or Stockton, knowing how they turned out? Which would be the better fit?

Bird/Duncan would be irresistable. I do wish we could have seen how a Webber/Shaq front court would have worked out. Penny was really good and all pre-injury, and they got draft picks in addition for swapping that pick, but damn would a Webber/Shaq fron tcourt be scary.

Could have tried to balance it with a great guard and average big, then a great big with average guard.

ew Jordan and Cp3 would never work..

Jordan would be better with a guy like Rondo or the exact opposite at point with somebody who is going to be primarily jump shooter..

Rondo would be the worst. Jordan works better with a shooter, so Curry or even Stockton/Nash. Even Billups is a great choice.

Lebron/KG tied with Magic/Drob, simply because the players in these two pairs play different positions and dont both need the ball. Both of these combinations give you a playmaking wing + a defensive anchor with great offense. The rest of the combinations give you two players that both occupy similar positions on the floor, guard the same positions, and/or need the ball in their hands.

disagree, Rondo and Jordan's personalities would mesh really well, both are ultra competitive and Rondo always saved his best for the playoffs.. he was also extremely tough, and played great defense, didn't over dribble nearly as much as Paul does and was always happy setting up his teammates with fast and smart decision making..

Jordan's point guard was Ron Harper for the last 3 titles, Harper can't shoot and this didn't seem to bother Jordan..

You can't go wrong with either Larry Bird/Tim Duncan or Chris Webber/Shaquille O'Neal.

I'd choose Webber and O'Neal just because I know they'll dominate the rim. I can only imagine then lobbing the ball to each other multiple times a game the was Josh Smith and Dwight Howard did against the Mavericks, they'd make each other's jobs so easily.

Magic/Robinson works so well. GOAT PG and one of the best bigs ever. Magic would bring out the alpha attitude in Robinson like he did with KAJ and the rest of his Laker teammates. Magic was a winner.

Duncan/Bird doesn't fit as great but hard to pass up on 2 top 10 GOAT players.

Kobe/Davis is also pretty lethal.

The correct answer here is Bird and Duncan.

Bird/Duncan
Webber/Shaq
gap
Magic/Robinson
CP3/Jordan
Lebron/KG
gap
Kobe/AD
HUGE GAP
Curry/Durant
AI/Barkley

I put them in my order. And I really question why people think Bird and Duncan wouldn't mesh well. Or Jordan and Paul, for that matter.

With the exceptions of the last two teams (and I can't put a big enough gap between them), all of the combinations both make sense and work.
