Are the amount of 30-5-5 games in the playoffs the only objective way to rank people all time?

This isolates for strong/weak supporting casts, and gives an overall impression of dominance. Since it accounts for total 30-5-5 playoff games, it also accounts for longevity

So both sides are covered

Now why 30-5-5 you ask?

30 points = volume scoring

5 rebounds = you also helped on the glass and where not just ball hogging

5 assists = you are also playing a team game and getting teammates involved

hmm well if the guy who has the most has also won the least out of the top 5 on the list then..

I would say its the only objective way of measuring empty stats..

No 40-5-5 Games are

no, for obvious reasons.

5 rebounds and 5 assists overrates wing players. Any wing who plays a lot of minutes and is the 1st option on offense as a wing should average close to those numbers if they're a star player.

I like this method

6 times going to the finals

Losing 4 times with Hall of Fame team mates

=

2/6

There's no objective way whatsoever.

But yours is garbage.

Let's do some stupid math... 30 / 5 = 6, 5/5 = 1, 5/5 = 1 hmm 6,1,1... 1+1 = 2, let's divide 2 by 6 and we get.. 2/6? :eek: i think the universe is trying to say something here.

2015:

Tristan Thompson = future HOF'r ( on the path atleast, will be a defensive/rebounding legend, Shawn Marion = future HOFr easly, David Blatt = HOF coach )

2007: Zydrunas Ilgauskas = possible HOF'r ( international contributions + really good NBA career, multiple allstar games )

Mike Brown = could be a HOF coach some day

Coaching career 1992

Exactly...you had to reach incredibly for all of those.

LeBron has been to finals 6 times and has won twice. Has had hall of fame team mates.

2/6

that isn't reaching man that is basic mathematics

Good One!:applause:
As for the thread, it would be cool to see how many times the greats were able to conjure up a 30-5-5. I just think that you should also include steals and blocks in the 30-5-5 equation, not just rebounds and assists.
It would be easier to judge if someone could get a list of the top players in the league and the total 30-5-5 games that they've had, as well as legends in order to see if the greatest ones did it the most. Does anyone here have that type of list? And if not how would one go about getting it?

Poor Kenneth also didn't realise Mike Brown also coached Kobe, which means Kobe couldn't win with yet another HOF coach. Definite hit on his legacy. Out of top 10 for me now.

Trolling aside, how does ISH feel about....

Major stats added up:
pts + rebs + asts + steals + blocks - turns

Then multiply by the %s?

Bird = 17.58
Jordan = 17.43
Lebron = 14.93
Kobe = 13.02
Duncan = 11.97

That is clearly the best way ever to measure a player. It has no bias or context issues. None at all.

/sarcasm on one stat being objective.
