Why do Mexicans care whether we build a border wall if it won't stop illegal entry?

I hear a lot of complaining from Mexican activists, Jorge Ramos for instance, and politicians saying that a border wall would solve nothing. But if that's the case, what do they care if we build a wall or not? It's not like they are paying for it. So why b!tch? Shouldn't they be laughing and saying, "Go ahead and build it, what do we care, you're the ones wasting your money".

There is no anti-Mexican sentiment. Nobody has any problem with legal immigrants from Mexico or people with Mexican ancestry. It's people from ANYWHERE who are in the country ILLEGALLY that people have a problem with.

I find this part odd as anti-illegal sentiment usually blazes up during an economic downturn. No person in any country, including the US, wants to see an immigrant, in their nation illegally, working while job opportunity is sparse.
