At least where I live (California) I don't see many religious people in my area. I believe America as a country was MUCH more religious 100 years ago compared to now. Times are changing, in another 100 years you might see might see no religion at all.

To me poor countries are the most religious for some reason.

I would say maybe 1 out of 10 is like really about anything particularly spiritual or religious and the rest just identify as one thing or another or aren't at all. we are a country of moderates.

America has alot of areas full of low socio economic people who hustify there third world conditions with the hope that they can get to heaven. Also they are pretty self indulgent and can't accept that they are miniscule in the scheme of things and 99% of people alive right right will be forgotten pretty quickly after they die

The American constitution is a fantastic secular bill of rights. However like all things religious it worms it's way into everything eventually. The true patriots of that country should be opposing religious teachings when it's used in politics. Otherwise it's a slap in the face to the founding fathers who they all "seem" to cherish.
