Yep those are the only guys. I would say Love is the best shooter of this group. Passing wise, he's also one of the top PF's in the league. And he's one of the top five rebounders in the world. But the other guys are better defenders. But Love is a rare breed. A TRUE PF who can play as a stretch 4 and STILL dominate on the glass. In that sense, he's similar to guys like McAdoo or a Jerry Lucas. He's not a hybrid forward who is used at the PF for small lineups.

Love at his max potential averaging 26/14/4?

Or Love being relegated to spotup shooting from ball dominance and not having a great defensive perimeter player like Rubio to cover his flaws?

Depending on which the answer ranges from no one @ PF is better to a little over a handful.

On my team:

1. Blake Griffin
2. Draymond Green

that's it

Aaand that'd be it. I might even take Love over Aldridge considering age.

Anthony Davis
Maybe Draygod

Depends on the squad really.

Griffin
Aldridge
DrayGod
Ibaka

If you're talking a single playoff series, gimme Duncan and Gasol too.

As someone else mentioned, role on the team is an important factor. But I'd say Davis and Griffin are the only two PFs that are currently noticeably better overall.

There are many. Including ZBo, whom nobody has mentioned.

Davis, clearly. He's on the same tier as anyone else.

Anthony Davis getting punked last year by Draygod was painful to watch. I'm a bit more old school, so I'd go with ZBo, max potential Love or max potential Bosh (see 2009 for reference).

It just depends what role they're delegated too. Are they turned into primarily spot up shooters or are they allowed to play the same type of game that made them productive??

:wtf: Dray played great in that series, but AD put up 31.5 ppg on 61 TS%

Big LeBron fan here, I have to say Kevin Love is the best Power Forward in the league. We truly have no excuses this year!

...unless he isn't playing

A healthy Cavs squad is going to be the most talented team in the east next year. With Mozgov during the second half of the season, they were the best team in basketball (as opposed to the first half of the year when LeBron was taking vacations and they had no center).

So yeah, no excuses.

If I could make a deal with the devil that he'd never get injured, AD and Griffin are the only PFs I'd take over him, all things being equal.

But since the devil isn't offering, I'd take Aldridge over him too. He's proven to be fairly tough and to bring it in important games. Kevin Love's never played an important game, and that's not a pure coincidence IMO.

If I had another star, there are a number of guys I might take over him, depending on the star.

I wonder if you guys are serious about Draymond. There is only one team in the league that would be right to pick Draymond over Kevin Love, and that's the team that has him.

Depends. If it's as a #1 or 1b role, then not many. Davis, Griffin...and maybe no other PF. If it's in his current role as a 3rd option, then the list grows quite a bit, although I'm not sure who all I'd add.

AD happened to make a record on the best performance as first time playoff appearance... and u said he was getting punked? so if he was getting punked, he would be averaging 40ppt?

AD and Griffin. I'd rather have Love than LMA, and can't think of anyone else.

Love as a second option fits perfectly. We'll get to see that at the beginning of this Cavs season.

The Cavs would be better off with DrayGod. That team would be fukcing scary with DrayGod and Mozgov on the front-line.

then here lies a question:
1) do cavs really need K.Love to provide fire power? or do they need a defence minded PF?
2) will Warrior do Draygod - K.Love trade straight up?
3) will it be 2/7 next year?

Whoa, Love getting overrated as hell. He put up great numbers on bad teams. A lot of guys can do that. His game is also odd for a "big". A big usually provides rim protection or provides post offense. Love does neither.

I would take quite a few guys over Love. Easily AD, Griffin and LMA. Also Draymon, Bosh (much better defender), 40 year old Duncan and Millsap.

I would also take Ibaka over Love given the fact that Love is a 2nd option at best and possibly 3rd option on a championship team. Maybe even Zbo.

love is a specialist so in lots of situations you'd prefer ibaka or green or even millsap. like if im starting any of the following centers

marc gasol
marcin gortat
nikola pekovic
jonas vaolunciunas
brook lopez

he isn't the guy im going for. basically any white center is going to make a bad sidekick for kevin love

if i'm going in blind, the only three guys i'd prefer are the three everyone knows, aldridge griffin davis

though call me crazy i bet we add derrick favours to that list before anybody else posted in this thread

actually no kidding i'd take tristan thompson over kevin love right now if i get either of them for the rest of their careers... you cannot underestimate that abandon and intensity
