It seems alot of people have a problem with what he says..? I havent been paying much attention to that, like what? I'd understand he'd be moody over how he was pushed into Lasers, so he'd express his thoughts on that... and he's just so damn underrated, people these days lack the ear for him it seems, with all the Lil Wayne type rappers around. Then again a decade like the 1990's was alot more stacked, but I still feel he'd get more due, obviously we can't compare since his music would be different.

But anyway, like why are some kinda fed up with him?

i havent listened to tetsuo and youth enough to have any strong feelings though

his beats are usually trash as well

theres no denying he's one of the best lyrically though

don't consider him part of their generation and when he was first poppin, he was way more known and popular than cole and was treated like kendrick with that "save hiphop BS"...online, he's very well rated...maybe even overrated

It was a great comeback after lasers which was complete dck. Lupe is one of the best lyricists and most talented songwriters ever. Id say he has verse of the year locked up from Mural but album of the year is still Summertime 06 with an honorable mention to Dirty Sprite 2, Pilot Talk 3, Weekend at the Cape, Twelve Reasons to Die II, Rodeo

Maybe not by hip hop heads on the net, but he's not even mentioned by casual and/or mainstream fans of the genre. Dude's probably a top 20 MC of all time and all some people know him for is "Kick, Push"... and most of those people probably think that song was just about skateboarding.

Tetsuo & Youth was a classic in my eyes. Definitely his best effort since The Cool.

Lupe's beats always have soul/funk. Definitely refreshing to hear and better than the trap garbage most rappers have on their albums.
