Don't worry, there will be more. I'm not joining this one because people always seem to forget or lose interest when you hold signups this early. Starting one a week or two before the season starts usually works better in my experience.

This will go the same way as they always do -> people will stop setting up their teams, no trades will happen (except a few lopsided ones), and the majority will stop caring. Waste of time and effort.

On the other hand, if you can manage to get together a legit crew to play it really is fun. I've been playing with the same people for 15 years now (all close high school friends). We have a $100 buy in, an auction draft, keepers (3 years), can trade players for future dollars, last place penalty, etc. We've designed it in a way so that everyone has to play and not get lazy throughout the season. Everyone stays engaged and it is legitimately worthwhile to actually go through the effort of playing.

there was an ish fantasy basketball draft last year and all the guys who lost first few weeks basically stopped playing.. it was 5/12 most of the year.


You need to get people to toss a few bucks in.. even if the pot is only like a 100 bucks or something

If you say so......I wouldn't spend more than $25 at a bar on just myself. That's like 4-5 drinks maybe depending on the cost and I don't drink like that......
