View Full Version : Better at their sport--Lebron or Mario Lemeiux?

Lebron vs Super Mario. Lebron is considered one of the all time greats in NBA history, of course. And Mario was about the only other NHL star to come near Wayne Gretzky in the late 80s/early 90s. Who's better at their sport?

LeBron is the best athlete in sporting history...also one of the most skilled...always humble in victory (which is most of the time)

Speed of a ferrari, class of a rolls royce

Lemeiux is a top-three great in his sport (only Orr and Gretzky) rank higher.

Lebron isn't there yet.

You're smokin crack if you think Orr was better than Lemeiux. Some think Mario's the best who's ever played.

Gretzky was untouchable as in..... couldn't even sneeze on him w/o a penalty being called or 3 dudes immediately in your face. If there was a sign that said "most coddled athlete in pro sports history" you'd see a picture of The Great One underneath it. It's no surprise he was able to play for 20yrs in the NHL.

Depending on what you value... its either #1 gretzky #2 lemieux or #1 orr #2 lemieux

Cause orr was all toughness. Gretzky was all skill

Lemieux had a blend of both

Mario obviously. He's top 3 GOAT at worst. Lebron isn't in anyone's top 3.

if this were true lemieuxs rookie card wouldnt be worth 1/10th that of orrs or gretzky

Lebron's more like a prime Jeremy Roenick. Definitely talented but has that personality off & on the court where you just wish he'd go away and dissappear. Neither of them will be considered REAL winners. With that said though, I got way more respect for Jeremy Roenick than LeCringe.

Mario so far. He's anywhere from 2-4 locked in. Some people think he would have been #1 without the injuries. Mario dominated the NHL more than LeBron did.

We're now evaluating greatness by hockey card value. Only kenneth.
