On his way to Toronto?

Hope not.

But maybe he can warm the bench for the Raptors 905.

They have been on point with their draft picks the past decade+ outside of that.

I heard he looked decent in euroball but to be fair the same games I heard he was playing well in Nicholson was beasting too so likely they were against lesser countries where the game is a lot slower.

Worst number one pick ever considering the Cavs took him at one when no one else even had him in that range. At least guys like Darko and Kwame had some other teams who liked them as well.

Not sure if serious... We drafted the likes of Desagana Diop, Dajuan Wagner and Luke Jackson in the top 10...
Obviously 2003 and 2011 were great, but overall we sucked at drafting since picking Andre Miller in 1999

I meant starting with Bron. You guys got him then Kyrie, Wiggins, Thompson, Waiters in a short time span. Bennett sticks out like a sore thumb next to those names.

2013 was an awful draft class though, so I guess they just threw some names in a hat and that's how they made their pick. :lol

Ok, I thought you meant hitting on draft picks when you don't have the luxury to pick the best player in the draft all the time ;-)

Waiters? meh, we aren't losing sleep bout' getting rid of that chucker

Thompson was an okay pick, but it's not like he's outplaying his draft class...

He looked very solid at FIBA Americas, I'd take him on the Raps to learn from Scola if they can use their 15th roster spot on him.

The Raptors are a good fit.

Groom him for the future PF spot next to JV or even off the bench in place of Scola.

Kwame Brown had small hands. So does Anthony Bennett. Two points is a trend.

But seriously, this is a guy that Billy King would love. Undersized, athletic, raw, tweener forward type. I'm sure he'd like to add him to the rotation of Thaddeus Young, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Thomas Robinson, Quincy Miller, and Chris McCullough rotation. Do we still Earl Clark? Yeah, I'm sure Billy King already has his number.

TWolves are kinda stacked up front assuming KAT pans out. Pek and Dieng are legit, and I like Payne's game as well. They also brought in Bjelica, who is a seasoned vet, ready to contribute right now.

Bennett won't see the light of day on that roster. It's definitely better he gets traded or bought out.

he wasn't a bum at UNLV. He displayed a lot of offensive talent and good physical attributes.

It was a swing for the fences pick. Noel out for a year. Oladipo's ceiling not high and the cavs had just drafted a 6'3'' combo guard. Len had stress fractures. Otto Porter was even worse then Bennett his rookie year but again he's not a potential game changer. Tyler is arguably better than Cody Zeller.

That draft just stunk.

All the players that turned out decent weren't mocked close to the top 7 picks.

Bennett is a head case. It's all between the ears for him. He's needs to man up and just play.

Porter is about to be a starter for a playoff team. He was really good in the playoffs, and really in last years summer league (mvp). He had a hip injury that kept him out of training camp his rookie year, and he never got into the rotation because the Wizards didn't have time to get him up to speed. He can shoot, he's a really good defender, and he probably will grab more offensive rebounds than any other wing player next season. The Wizards were DOMINANT in the playoffs when he and Wall shared the court. He played 5% of his minutes at the 4 during the regular season, and 45% of them at the 4 during the playoffs.

Anyone that actually wants this guy on their team is a fool.
Fat, undersized PF who doesn't rebound at all....
Average at best athletic ability and can't shoot for crap....
There is literally no reason for this guy to be in the NBA, or even Europe for that matter.
He has the potential of a teacup poodle...

Even if they don't get KD next summer, I liked getting Oubre Jr. to be the potential future starter at the 3.

Anyway... That draft was bad at the time and even in retrospect and I would have bet on the physical freaks. I had convos that if I were to get fired for picking a guy in 2013 that was gonna bust, I would have gone for the guys who had great physical abilities. I didn't watch AB in college at all, but he had a bad start to his career being injured and the other physical baggage.

Could you imagine how much sicker the T-Wolves would be going forward if Cavs drafted Noel and included him in the Kevin Love deal...

Growing suspicion around league is that Anthony Bennett will wind up in Portland ... where his Team Canada coach Jay Triano is an assistant

Marc Stein ‏@ESPNSteinLine 1 hour ago
Blazers' preference would naturally be signing Bennett after he clears waivers. But Portland not only has the cap space to claim him ..

Marc Stein ‏@ESPNSteinLine 1 hour ago
Blazers are also nearly $13 million below league's salary floor, so claiming Bennett off waivers certainly wouldn't punish them financially

Let's try and remember the 2013 NBA Draft.

There are barely any stars that came out of that draft. MCW, Victor, Noel, Gobart are the only ones that really sticks and only Noel was considered to be a top pick before his injury troubles. 1st pick was a crap shoot that year and Benett got the benefits of having the first pick contract but also a unwarranted amount of criticism. Hopefully Portland, Spurs, or Raptors can pick him up and give him some PT.
