They know if they scream and shout loud enough, and get a photographer to take a good picture of a woman in hijab crying, they will eventually get their way and the media will back them in whatver they want, and whoever they are going against will back down for fear of being labeled racist and Islamophobic.

I have to admit, it is a genius way for a religion to expand. Everyone believes in the long term greater good regardless of any short term losses their personal dignity might take, and does whatever it takes to help the religion.
