Symptoms include:

Pain along the back of your foot and above your heel, especially when stretching your ankle or standing on your toes; with tendinitis, pain may be mild and worsen gradually. If you rupture the tendon, pain can be abrupt and severe.

Tenderness

Swelling

Stiffness

Hearing a snapping or popping noise during the injury

Difficulty flexing your foot or pointing your toes (in complete tears of the tendon)

It's only WebMD but it doesn't sound good. :(

Hope all is well.

this looks good

the other vid said to rub the sides of the tendon in a soft massage, and to massage the bone lower to it, and to keep the foot loose.

But my shit is fucced. If I did any of them exercises pointing toe down, I'd be in the fetal position because of the sharp sharp sharp pain.

Had a blister on mine a while back and it's been stinging me ever since.

I try to ice it down and massage it when I can.

Did you say Achilles!?!?! I've completely ruptured both over the last three years.

If you're foot was pointing down and you pressed it, that's more a compression sprain. To tear it you normally go the other way, toe's pointing up, that stretches the Achilles until it eventually snaps. If you have a full rupture / tear, you'll have what they call drop toe, which is exactly what it sounds like. Your toes will point at the floor, whole foot sort of dangling, like it's dead. If you can move your foot up and down at all it's not a rupture. That doesn't mean it can't be serious and shouldn't be looked at though.

The only other thing I'd say is that if it ruptured you'dve known.

Word.

Thanks for the knowledge

I fell asleep last night. Didn't go to er.

It's just if I point it down in a specific angle it feels like someone is stabbing me with a knife. Stops me in my tracks.

Didn't your son suffer the same injury at the end of the season?

Isn't he still recovering? Seems like it would make more sense for you to ask Wes rather than a bunch of retarded strangers online.

He's almost full strength.

His doctor is on vacation.

Didn't want to bother him and his new wife.

Solid.

Luckily you don't have a job so you don't have to worry about missing work.

Do you have people who move weight for you? I'm sure you don't want people coming to pick up from your residence. Hope this injury doesn't mess up your business model

I ****ed it up for a few months, but didn't see a doctor about it. I took a year to fully heal, but only 3 months of really not being able to run.
