PG:
I am surprised Curry is rated 93.. higher than KD and AD..
and i would put CP3 no.1 rather than Curry..
but overall, solid list. everyone is over 80.
lol and where's rose and charming ricky??

SG:
weak era.
wtf is this? basically this list should stop after no.6
Elis 81?? and Wesley just suffered from major injury also got 81..?
and Beal is 80? Same as Oladipo??

SF:
Big fan Bran here, but he got way too much hair.
KD should be 93 judging from other players scores.. but he gets 91 cos of injury? while PG gets 86 and he just came back from a injury...
Wiggins is 80.. and there's 2 guys that's 79.. thought Demarre is kinda solid..

PF:
ok AD is fine.. but everything else is a problem.
if Cousins is 87, there's no way Blake and LMA are getting higher than him.
Zbo, K.Love, Bosh and Dirk are all 84.. i dunno what's the standard here.. u got DJ on 84 as well, and Drummond/Vucenvic on 83?? wtf?
LMA on 88 and Timmy on 87? while cousins is 87??
everyone on this list is above 83? spuer solid PF era?

C:
so.. Cousins is 87, same as Marc.. tbh i would put Cousins 89..
AL on 83 and whiteside on 81?? a dude played 48 games last season..

i got a feeling these scores do not reflect the true value of these players.
and i am sure why they measure all these scores..

Is this the first year no player in 2k was rated between a 95-99?

Everyone is rated in terms of NBA history, with Jordan 99.

No 90 rated center. Weak era

Looks pretty good to me, with the only exception being that Kobe does not belong in the top 10 shooting guard rankings. :facepalm
I understand why they have to overrate Kobe though. Can't afford to piss off his fan boys and have them boycott the game.

Feels like too many players lumped into that 85-90 category

Nine out of the top-ten Point Guards were All-Stars this year. The only exception is Mike Conley—a defensive specialist that is rather disinclined to all the more "glamorous" contributions that garner the popularity needed for the All-Star game, but that doesn't make him any less effective than those bevy of fellow Point Guards.

A testament to the golden age of Point Guards we're witnessing today.

Is this the first year no player in 2k was rated between a 95-99?

It looks like it, from what I've researched, but the oddity is explainable when you look at the conditions of the three-best players in the league:

LeBron James: He's shown dramatic decline last season, and a fifth-consecutively deep post-season run presages continuance to that decline in this upcoming season.

Kevin Durant: The stage was set for him to start peaking this season, but a potentially career-derailing injury has engulfed a shadow of doubt over whether or not that peak will be actualized.

Anthony Davis: He most likely will be vaulted into the 95-plus company if 2K Sports updates their player-ratings midway through the season, but everyone knows that the 22-year-old still has yet to peak; and while he's rightly projected to improve this season, no one can ascertain the degree of improvement expected, especially as he's being molded into a new offensive system that expects him to integrate three-point-shooting in his repertoire.

Basically, we're looking at an anomalous season wherein eventually all-time-great players are either past their prime/leaving it, coming off grave injuries, or they have yet to peak out.

and i am sure why they measure all these scores..

Beal 14/15 - 15.3 ppg 3 apg 42% shooting 34 mpg
Oladipo 14/15 - 17.9 ppg 4 apg 44% shooting 36mpg

Dipo would have a higher usage rate but he's a better defender and putting up better stats in similar minutes. People sleep on Dipo because he looked bad when played out of position but his three point shot has been steadily improving each season and he looks to be the goods

I'm guessing Tobias Harris is listed as PF this year otherwise he'd be above Carroll (probably giannis is based on current not potential too) in the 10th spot wouldn't he?

I was looking through the past ratings, and man, as the years went on, 2K got very stingy about giving out high ratings. Below is a list of players rated 95-99 for each year going back to 2K7

2K7

Kobe: 98
LeBron: 98
Dirk: 97
KG: 96
Brand: 96

2K8
Duncan: 98
Kobe: 98
LeBron: 97
KG: 97
Wade: 97
Nash: 96
Arenas: 96
Dirk: 95
Amare: 95

2K9
Kobe: 98
LeBron: 98
Duncan: 98
KG: 96
Wade: 96
Nash: 96
Dirk: 96
Iverson: 96
Pierce: 95
Dwight: 95
Carmelo: 95
Amare: 95

2K10
Kobe: 97
LeBron: 96
Wade: 96

2K11
Kobe: 97
LeBron: 97
Wade: 97
CP3: 95

2K12
LeBron: 98
Wade: 96

2K13
LeBron: 98
Dwight: 95

2K14
LeBron: 99

2K15

I'm not cool with AD being rated lower than Curry.

Other than that, the low center ratings seem more like a product of the shift in focus from the position. I would not agree that Klay Thompson is as good a player as Marc Gasol, but I can totally see how in the structure of the game it makes sense.

Also if the low post turn fade is as free as it was in the last game I'm gonna have a field day with LMA and Timmy.

Honestly, Im completely fine with Currys rating. maybe a bit underrated tbh.

He is ridiculously underrated in this forum. Even that dumbass, WarriorsFan, isnt too wrong with his rankings.

The center position is a disaster. No idea how they calculated the overalls on those guys, ESPECIALLY whiteside

Gileraracer

Curry to high. 88 would fit
DMC to low. 91 at least
KD to low. 93
Whiteside 81. Because of the 10 good games he had in his career?
