A artist change from hip-hop Punk rock to 70's power pop what hit the wrong note.

Still haven't figured out just what the hell he was thinking with this album.

By far my favorite album by them (that and Turn on the Bright Lights). I'd say the self-titled after that is the worst. El Pintor is pretty good though.

Nevertheless, great ****ing band.

Electric Circus by Common

New Danger by Mos Def...it wasn't too bad but Mos had potential to be a GOAT or maybe THE GOAT in my opinion...but he started focusing on acting and also tried to be too different with New Danger

St. Anger

Had it been about 20 minutes shorter, it might have been just right. But as is, I'd agree.

On the Metallica front, and I can't believe I didn't think of this sooner, I'd say that this was far, far worse.

I agree, Lulu makes St Anger look like a goddamn masterpiece.

Yeah their follow-up Self-titled was their worse. Barricade is a great single tho. I mentioned the one above because I actually bought it and their peers Arcade fire had surpassed them with Neon Bible in 2007.

I'm not a Saved the Day fan but they were poised to become big if they hadn't released in reverie

My Walter white looking ex-coworker mentioned he threw this record out of his window.

The problem wasn't the length, it was the snare drum.

The problem wasn't the length, it was the snare drum.

The snare drum did suck horribly...the entire mix on that record sucked, which they insist was the intention. Ok fine, I could have seen past that if every song over 7 minutes in length didn't have 2-3 minutes of needless riffing stuck on the end of it.

Case in point: when the Some Kind of Monster movie was released, they sent out a 4 and a half minute edit of the song to radio. The original version of that song is over 8 goddamn minutes long. All they did to achieve it was cut out four entire minutes of riffs...and the song was 110% more listenable, at least to me. All Within My Hands, Unnamed Feeling, Invisible Kid, Frantic and St. Anger all could have done with the same treatment.

A lot of Prince albums from the 90s.
