Im mean, alot of people were not impressed by their championship victory, people argued that they played alot of injured teams which they did, but really....besides the Cavs no teams they faced had a major injury. I am curious to how this team will be looked at in future years. Will they be considered as one of the best teams ever (going by the numbers they are) or will they get looked at as just another championship team.

Depends on the agenda.

The reason they aren't going to get much love is because they don't have (unless Curry proves otherwise) an all time great player on their roster. The usual consensus top 10 teams all time like the '67 76ers, '71 Bucks, '72 Lakers, '83 76ers, '86 Celtics, '87 Lakers, multiple Jordan Bulls teams, '01 Lakers etc all had not only a top 10-15 player of all time, but legendary second and/or third options too. Just don't see anything like that from this Warriors team

That's true. I don't think it's logical to say that they are a top 5 team ever, but I can see them somewhere ranked where the Bad Boy Pistons are.

That is what makes AMC so special.

They finished top 10 all time in wins AND margin of victory while losing just 4 playoff games en route to the title. They're one of 5 teams in history to win 67 games and have a MOV of 10 ppg. So, if you were to look at it strictly by statistics, they'd have an excellent argument for top 5 all time

It is going to take time for people to understand teams today with 1 star a couple other near or just all star guys and a DEEP bench of extremely versatile and skilled role players. Another title or two and that team gets looked at much more favorably, but that is far from a sure thing.

Either way they are an all time great team and anyone paying attention saw it all season long.

Detractors love to play the what-if card in retrospect of the Cavaliers having their second- and third-best players in suits on the bench; I'd like to respond with my own what-if...

What if the Warriors' best player in Stephen Curry didn't go awry for the first-two weeks after a near-concussive injury in Game 4 against the Rockets in the Western Conference Finals? Let's cross-compare the pre- and post-concussion stats for the playoffs, and we'll see what we can infer out of it...

All playoff games before the concussion (including the game of the injury):

29.9 PPG; 47.5% shooting; 44.8% three-point-shooting; 6.6 APG; 22.2 game-score average (basketball-reference.com formula).

First-four playoff games after the concussion (including the two finals losses against the Cavaliers):

24.2 PPG; 38.2% field-goal percentage; 34.5% three-point percentage; 5.8 APG; 15.9 game-score average.

Obviously, Curry was hobbled, and while he didn't succumb to excuse-making to attribute it to that, he looked evidently affected by it to me.

Irving and Love certainly wouldn't hurt in getting the Cavaliers over that hump to win it all, but that hump is more steep than people are contextualizing it as
