NBA 2K16 coming out tonight

Anyone going to get it? I know its a more graphically appealing hot mess of the last version, and the version before that, but I feel like I am so accustomed to having a new NBA game every year...

Read good things about it, but was highly disappointed in last year's game. An upgraded version of My Crew is back, so that's a plus.

I hate the soundtracks for these games. I wish I could get a basketball game without the shitty culture shoved in my face. Generally, I believe in getting one sports game and sticking with it for several years. The improvement from year to year is going to be fairly minimal. Surely not with the 60 dollar price tag in most cases.

2k12 wasn't that much better than 2k11 honestly. I think only 2k13 is when I saw a noticeable improvement in gameplay. Most of my friends stopped buying 2k after 2k13.

Game feels great. The Spike Lee stuff was terrible, but it's over once you get out of College. After that the Career mode is improved. Allows you to decide between practicing to build stats, or doing other activities to gain fans, team chemistry, endorsements, etc.

I got drafted by the Suns, but transferred to the Spurs in my sophomore season. My guy is a 7'1" Inside Center, focused on defense and rebounding. I'm currently backing up Duncan, playing about 20mpg off the bench.

Won't touch multiplayer until I build up my guy more. Probably start playing online matches around Thursday.

Played it saturday.

While I must say, the gameplay itself is much improved, MyCareer is complete ass. The features of the game are probably as bad as I've ever seen, but I did not get to check out myplayer on the blacktop (one of my favorite things about 2k).

If the servers for 2k haven't been fixed yet, this game will be a complete flop unless you plan on playing 1v1 on the same screen.

The story in my career is pretty dumb. For as "real" as Spike Lee thinks he is, his characters are complete stereotypes. You will see what I mean when you play it. You will get to know the characters very well since Spike turned the mode into Metal Gear 2k with all the long-ass cutscenes (the last one is almost 30 minutes!). What's even more annoying, is his pretentious behind the scenes stuff where you meet the real voice actors and some see the crew. It's truly :facepalm

EDIT: I just read there's a 20 minute cut scene where you argue with your agent over class warfare (rich v poor).
