Should we ban dogs and cats in America? (To reduce global warming)

Hey guys. Was just thinkin about this.

With global warming becoming such a pressing national issue, I'm wondering if maybe we need to enact ordinances to reduce the effect of the pet industry on global warming.

According to estimates, 70-80 million dogs are kept in the US. About 74-96 million cats. EACH of these pet demographics equates to about the human population of Germany, western Europe's biggest country. So not only do we have 300,000,000 people, but we have approximately 160,000,000 dogs and cats. Yikes!

Obviously pets are organisms that breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide, the gas most directly contributing to global warming. Also, pet foods often contain animal livestock products. Livestock is also known as a key contributor to global warming. Moreover, simply processing and packaging all these million and millions of pet food products requires large outputs of energy and emissions. This contributes to global warming.

Obviously if we're all as concerned with global warming as we all like to say we are, then we need to start taking some action, right? This could be an important first step.

It might seem like that now, but the truth is once the earth reaches a certain global heat index, and the conditions become suitable enough, ManBearPig will awake from his dormant slumber and it will be really bad news.

I'm serial.

It may be best, in order to ward off the consequences of ManBearPig, if we prohibit pet ownership in America, just for the next 100 years or so to see how this global warming thing goes.

It's supposed to be a very cold winter this year, due to global warming, so and I'm concerned about the peeps up in the northern regions. Global warming could have them freezing their asses off.

For their sake and for all of our sake, I think it's time we send Spike and Fido, and whatever our cats names are, to the incinerator. We could get a decent amount of energy out of them and maybe even help drive down the cost of gas for a month or two.

We euthanize over 2 million cats and dogs in this country every year.

It's disgusting really. Too many people get a cat or dog only to realize they are actual work and then they end up in a shelter and then put to death.

Global warming is not a big deal but pollution is.

In theory, yes, ManBearPig would be a delightful mouth-watering delicacy, but the reality is, once summoned it is extremely difficuot to curtail the havoc ManBearPig reeks on a society.
