Oh, and dietary recommendations? Fruits, dates, water, melon, simple breads.

I think you're confusing them with people of the Indian Subcontinent whose diet includes lots of pungent dishes. But that's a cultural thing. And it's... perhaps due to them needing tremendous amounts of energy (lots of oil) and any spice possible to protect the body against disease in that area (India is teeming with life; and where there is life.. there are parasites.)

Most people who come to a cleaner, colder place could easily switch into a different type of cuisine.

If she puts on perfume and goes out, and thinks it most likely that she will pass by a group in which there will be men who will smell her perfume and fragrance, this is also haraam, even if she does not intend to tempt men and that is not her aim, because this action is a fitnah (temptation) in and of itself. There is also an indication in sharee’ah that it is haraam and not allowed.
