This is the biggest reason I ascribed to the Cavaliers likely-dramatic decline within the next 1-2 seasons; he's too taxed to continue carrying his team for much longer, and his MVP chances may be compromised by the fact that he'll be sidelined for more than a few games this season to recovering his corrosive body or needfully resting.

His off-seasons have been halved due to stringing together five deep post-season runs, and that's one of the drawbacks of playing in the underwhelming competitive Eastern Conference; your team eventually loses to an overwhelmingly formidable Western Conference finalist, and one of the formalities to that loss is by trouncing through your deplorable intra-conference rivals.

Unless his team ends up upset in the Eastern Conference playoffs this year, his off-season time will be quartered due to his involvement on Team USA. By the commencement of that following season, then we can definitively say that LeBron is past his prime, IMO.

Let me get this straight - Lebron only had to guard a low-motor, predictable, stand-still, 16 ppg play-finisher in the Finals, yet he needs 2 months off?

What if he had to chase a much quicker, high motor, off-ball player around the court who averaged twice as much as Iggy?

If Lebron had to do that, he'd never have the energy to take 33 shots per game and he'd probably need to take the ENTIRE SEASON off.. :lol

Btw, show me one player in history that combines Reggie Miller/JJ Redick-type off-ball movement with goat athleticism...
