And Mitch has all but announced this will be his last season in a Laker uniform.

Next offseason is going to be interesting. Kobe gonna sign a league min deal and his stans gonna be like "So selfless, giving up millions for the purple and gold."

And it turns out, thats just what Mitch thinks he is worth.

He's been spoiled by the GOAT franchise from day 1, so of course he's loyal. Have Kobe be drafted by the Cavs and he'd be out of there before his rookie contract was up

smokescreens to force managements hand in dealing away shaq... then to get a legit 2nd option

i'm sure if shaq was already gone by 2003.. kobe signs an extension before the offseason of 2004

and i'm sure if the lakers had a better starting lineup than "smush/kobe/kwame/cook/odom" then kobe doesnt demand a trade

notice how when things were rectified kobe backed down from his threats

which shows he was doing them to get action rather than because he wants out

LoL, Loyal.
Kobe don't give a **** about anyone but himself.

Kenneth Griffin could be bleeding in his driveway and he'd just casually run him over with his car on his way out.

Yeah well you ignore the fact that they offered Shaq an extension just a shorter one then he wanted.
Shaq could have stayed if he wanted but they gave him the cold shoulder after the negotiations dragged on so he got pissed and demanded out.

Had Shaq chose to stay Kobe almost certainly would have left.
So much for loyalty.

Yes how dare they not keep Kobe surrounded by Peak Jordan or Shaq every year.
But either way they got realllllly lucky with that Gasol robbery.
What if they don't manage to pull that trade or another comparable one?
Bye bye Kobe...

No he would have been like Jordan and molded the team into a team that would be good for 5/7 rings.

Bron is a colluder. He's not even in the same realm of loyalty.

Yea, like Jordan with the GOAT coach and Pippen. Totally the same as the dumpster fire in Cleveland

Jordan didn't have a GOAT coach when he started and he didn't have Pippen until he trained with Pippen everyday and made him cover him so that he could be good. Jordan was VERY patient. Bron wasn't. Kobe was.

MJ had no choice but to be patient when you're under contract for 8yrs.

Yeah, Kobe was so patient he publicly demanded a trade and it would have went down if Deng wasn't part of the deal.
