When he cares, he'll put in work.
Maybe with him being in better shape, he won't play like utter dog shit come playoff time.
I was thinking big as in being jacked up. Karl Malone big or Serge Ibaka big, not Oliver Miller big, not Big Baby Big.

In all honesty he doesn't look that much different than the 2014 Media Day. I know when he was worked out by the Cavaliers last year he came into the work out kind of out of shape...

He looked like ass during the practice stuff for the Bucks on NBATV. Giannis was tearing him a new one. Couldn't stop him from splitting the p&r. Maybe he needs to get fatter so there's no hole to split.

so far as i've seen, kevin durant buckles under pressure not just from opposition but from teammates too. a lot like dirk, a tough defender can really take him off his game. his handle isn't tight enough because he's too tall and he isn't strong enough to get position near the hoop. he takes a lot of tough shots and then thinks too much when they don't go in.
not saying he'll always be that way. dirk proved himself in a way a lot of people never thought he would. but at the moment, curry gets his shot off better and davis as everybody knows is an all around animal.

So because Curry gets his shot off better that makes him better than Durant? I wouldn't even agree with that but still. Not like Curry himself didn't have his struggles in the finals. Durant has averaged 30/9 on respectable shooting in back to back post seasons.
Health makes it a question mark I guess. What Durant showed at his best is easily better than what Curry's shown tho. Durant was an All-Time great scorer. Curry's an All-Time great shooter.
It's crazy how much stock is put into a team accomplishment. No doubt winning is important but Durant in his last healthy season averaged 32/7/5 on like 63% TS. OKC won 59 games too.

durant puts up a lot of points but i don't trust him on a go to move. i misspoke to say he has a hard time getting his shot up... hes huge and athletic and can shoot over anyone. the problem i guess is his shot selection; he never seems comfortable with what he's taking, like there's always something better but he'd rather settle. now he makes an awful lot of bad shots, but at the same time he goes on long cold streaks and loses his swagger... then he has a hard time finding the right shots to get back into rhythm.
but for all i know he's going to catch the ball 20 feet from the basket with 4 on the clock. he often lapses on details like that in ways curry never does. he is significantly weaker than curry in a few crucial areas.
curry's go to move isn't exactly the skyhook, but putting him in a pick and roll is virtually unstoppable. if his rolling mate is like amir johnson level, worst case scenario they get a switch. that's what i mean by getting the shot off.
add onto that off-ball play where steph is crazy underrated. his ability to recognize the momentum of a possession and set the right screen to release a guy... then roll to the corner to attract 1 if not 2 defenders? he's so sleek when he does it too. the defense is supposed to be keyed to him yet he slips their sights a half dozen times a game.
kevin durant can't do that because he's 7 feet tall and lanky and honestly not that balanced/coordinated. like a baby with a big head who can't help but tip over. when he doesn't have the ball, what good is he?
here's another one; steph curry is just as good catching and shooting. durant's % goes way up when he's releasing off the dribble.
i haven't even mentioned the biggest advantage straight to steph. the guy puts the ball on the string and has eyes in the back of his head! he's one of the best pure point guards in the league, on top of the rest. curry can run a play like stockton or break it down like thomas... not saying as well as either but fk it if he can shoot better than jesus shuttleworth himself.
kd's passing and playmaking are closer to evan turner's than they are to lebron james
defensively durant's length is bothersome i guess but he's no stud on that end. as with all of the above, effort weights into it a lot. i have never seen durant go balls to the wall. and curry is a fine defender as long as he's not way outsized.

Son Curry is a piece of shit
If he had played the 12 spurs or the 12 heat the GSW would be obliterated without doubt. Only reason he has a championship is because Cleveland lost two of their best 3 players (like when was the last time something like that has happened?). If Curry played against healthy Wade, Bosh, Bron his little team would be decimated in a 4-0 sweep. If he had played Spurs that same year he would again be decimated.
Last year The spurs, Clippers and Cleveland would have whooped the GSW ass without pause had they faced each other health. At least when Miami won they played healthy teams not like GSW playing in the finals with their opponents two all-stars missing. Its like Healthy Cleveland playing against Curry without draymond and Thompson....LOL
Come on we all know GSW was barely top 5 team last season if they had faced the spurs, clippers, health okc or cleveland they would have been the underdogs. So we can safely say that Curry is hardly the player Durant is or ever will be. Let me know when Curry actually beats a healthy Spurs or Clippers team thanks.
Here is something neat and interesting about GSW run last year
they beat Memphis (aka previous 1st round exit), houston (previous first round exit), Pelicans (never been to the playoffs before) and the completely decimated basketball team of Cleveland without their stars Irving or Love. Is this the easiest path to a championship ever? Beat a previous first round exit and play a team without literally....their team and win the championship? wow this is tooooooooooooo easy

I'm not trying to be a dick but alot of this is just gibberish. No go to move? He lives at the FT line, is a pretty great 3 point shooter, can play in transition and overall is a pretty great shooter. Has a length advantage over anybody who's usually guarding him and at his size has a decent handle and is quick enough to beat defenders off the drrible.
Durant is really efficient. I don't see the problem. I don't care if he's comfortable or not. You score 32 points while being as efficient as he is and you can take whatever shot you like. I don't see the long cold streaks. He's pretty consistent in terms of scoring the ball. He'd led the league 4 times, if he's going on long cold streaks than what is everybody else doing?
curry's go to move isn't exactly the skyhook, but putting him in a pick and roll is virtually unstoppable. if his rolling mate is like amir johnson level, worst case scenario they get a switch. that's what i mean by getting the shot off.
Curry's "go to move" would be the 3 pointer IMO. Above the pick and roll, passing, driving, anything else basketball related really. He averaged 8 attempts this season, 11 in the playoffs. Which we saw in the finals can be inconsistent. He had games of 2-15, 2-6, 3-11 from 3 in the finals alone. He actually seems more hot and cold to me than Durant. While he's probably the greatest 3 point shooter of All-Time it's still the 3 pointer which can be streaky for anybody. His scoring is heavily reliant on that.
add onto that off-ball play where steph is crazy underrated. his ability to recognize the momentum of a possession and set the right screen to release a guy... then roll to the corner to attract 1 if not 2 defenders? he's so sleek when he does it too. the defense is supposed to be keyed to him yet he slips their sights a half dozen times a game.

Durant is pretty great off the ball himself. He plays with Westbrook and does just fine. Durant is pretty balanced and coordinated for his size. He might not be LeBron but acts as a point forward at times while being 6'9/6'10. Look at his play in transition. Has some nasty moves/dunks.
here's another one; steph curry is just as good catching and shooting. durant's % goes way up when he's releasing off the dribble.
Yeah Curry's the better shooter. Said so from the start.
i haven't even mentioned the biggest advantage straight to steph. the guy puts the ball on the string and has eyes in the back of his head! he's one of the best pure point guards in the league, on top of the rest. curry can run a play like stockton or break it down like thomas... not saying as well as either but fk it if he can shoot better than jesus shuttleworth himself.
Curry's the better playmaker no doubt. I don't think he's truly elite in that regard tho. I hate the assist statistic but think his highest finish is 5th. Just watch the playoffs. Warriors benefited alot from letting Iggy/Green gets others involved. Curry's not even close to Stockton in that regards. He's not even better than somebody like John Wall in terms of pure playmaking.
Just the same Curry doesn't have the same impact on rebounding than Durant does.
kd's passing and playmaking are closer to evan turner's than they are to lebron james
Agreed. The fact that Durant's playmaking is that good while being arguably the best scorer in the game on top of his rebounding/defense? Reason why's better than Curry.
defensively durant's length is bothersome i guess but he's no stud on that end. as with all of the above, effort weights into it a lot. i have never seen durant go balls to the wall. and curry is a fine defender as long as he's not way outsized.
He's not elite on that end but I'd say he's in that next tier. The above average section, and I'd say Curry at best is average. He's great at playing the passing lanes but that's about it. Lacks strength.
Curry's an all-time great shooter, solid at pretty much everything else. Durant's an all-time great scorer, solid at pretty much everything else.
Had Durant stayed healthy or if he can actually return to his previous form post injury he'll go down as a historic scorer. His '14 season was insane. Destroys Curry's regular season MVP IMO. Durant was dropping 32 a night on absurd efficiency while putting in work on the glass and still getting teammates involved.
