ESPN has found some retarded stat that after the Padres, Astros and Nationals had Taylor Swift play in their stadium, the teams started to lose. They spent 5 minutes of Sports Center talking about "The Taylor Swift Curse".

ESPN has gone full retard.

Their MLB coverage is bad. Part of the reason kids don't like the game.

ESPN is pathetic now. I don't think I've watched it in a few years. When did it become TMZ for sports?

ESPN is pathetic now. I don't think I've watched it in a few years. When did it become TMZ for sports?I think the power of internet virility and more precise viewership analytics helped push that further down that path.

It's just one of those things - people say they don't want weak garbage like Taylor Swift stories, yet they remain amongst the most popular and most clicked. It's tough for a business to turn their back on that. On a local scale, hearing anything about Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford's wife in sports news is ridiculous to me. However, stories on her tweets on the Lions organization have been some of the most popular in the area over the past two weeks. It's kind of depressing.

anyone can pull stats out of their ass for anything because there are virtually unlimited variables to plug in.

Ain't curses actually things in baseball? Curse of Bambino on Red Sox? Curse of Billy Goat on Cubs? Curse of the Colonel (Sanders) on Hanshin Tigers?

They are just poking fun at curses in baseball who some fans take really seriously and get really pissed off at

Was on the train coming back from the city during the night the yankees lost. There was this pissed off skinny white dude who flippes out on his friend after he brought up this curse. Dont know exactly what he said but it was something about a baseball curse.
