What do you think?
If OKC doesn't win it all this year, is Durant a Laker?
Or does he stay in my hometown and collect rings while I celebrate and brag on here till the day I die?

"On the Tuesday morning episode of ESPN’s First Take, Stephen A. Smith revealed via his sources, that Durant prefers the Lakers in free agency at the moment.
He also indicated that Durant could “lean towards the Knicks as well” — say if Kobe Bryant decided he wanted to continue to play, and linked up with Carmleo Anthony and company.
Here's the link to the First Take episode of Stupid A. talking about his speculations in order to take up air time.

I get the argument for why he'd leave OKC for other teams. But I don't buy the Lakers argument unless he brings along at least 1 more impact guy and a couple role players. LAL have a nice youth movement in Clarkson/Russell/Randal/Upshaw/Nance/Brown, but you don't bank your prime on only those guys. Don't think that Lou Williams or bringing back Hibbert + Bass is enough to entice him.

If I'm not mistaken, he has a home in LA and I've heard that he spends a lot of his summer here working out. If he has grown to love the city during his time here, I don't see why he won't, especially if the youngsters in the current Lakers squad play up to their potential.
I'll be looking forward to the news conference next summer.

He can continue to live in LA in the summer. Why give up the Thunder roster for the Lakers? I assume Durant cares about rings.

Every rich athlete has a house in LA. Players are wiser these days and know that their legacy basically relies on the owner and GM of the team to not be complete idiots. Jim Buss is a complete idiot. Dolan is a complete idiot. Thus, we can conclude KD will not go to the Knicks nor the Lakers unless managements change.
I expect KD to go to a well-run team that's ready to contend immediately such as: Spurs, Heat, Cavs, Warriors, Rockets, Hawks, etc..

This is assuming he can't get it done in OKC. We just don't know if he really likes LA or something. That is a factor. Not to mention, how well the young Laker players do this season.

I don't think the Laker's management is as bad as people think. But that a decent point.
