A comprehensive U.S. report showed that Oregon not only has the worst graduation rates in the nation, but it's holding the country back from achieving its graduation rate goals.

Furthermore, Oregon hadn't improved from the year before, showing stagnation as the last remaining state with graduation rates lower than 70 percent.
Damn son
Why is Oregon so stupid. :lol

Oregon has high standard. It won't just let anyone graduate like other states just to fill up some quota.

So are you saying that if you graduate, you will be better off than the rest of the dropout hipsters there? :oldlol:

D.C., not a state, but typically ranked among states, actually has a much lower HS graduation rate than Oregon. DC has a bunch of troubled inner city kids, New Mexico has Native Americans and isolated and remote rural folks, what's Oregon's excuse with all those little liberal white kids running around.

And alcohol doesn't?
There's a difference between being stupid before taking a drug and being stupid while or after taking a drug.

Oregon has higher graduation standards than most states, although they are working on lowering them so they arent on the bottom of this list anymore.

yeah its probably better, im only pointing this out so that people understand the greater context here. most people just see a list that ranks states based on percentage of people who graduated highschool, and assume that oregon is full of stupid :oldlol:

And it shows. They are only ranked 40 out of 50 in academic performance.

Slightly below median for SAT scores yes. Overall K-12 academic performance, it's at the bottom.

California? You'd have to pay me to live in that craphole. Try Colorado.
Fun fact (according to the link above): Oregon has the dumbest white people in the USA, worse than Mississippi :oldlol:

All of NE/SE D.C. is pretty much filtered with really bad high schools. West Philly had some high school shut down near where I lived. I used to tutor a few "troubled kids" from West Philly and the lack of knowing basic math was evident. Sad thing is a lot of them were from troubled homes. Our supervisor said a few of them literally had their parents in jail or were negligent to their children. Chicago has a mix from what I've heard. My friend went to school in Northside Chicago and said for the most part, the bad "high schools" are spread out through the city.
