Players have become 3000 times better.
The 8/8 of today, is a 20/20 from the 90's.

True
DeMar Derozan = '87 Jordan
Same fluidity, hops, quickness, jumper, dunking ability
The only difference is that DeMar can't abuse the no zone defense of today (i.e. He plays with shading defenses), and defenders have gotten more athletic.
Don't believe me? Look at MJ's stats in the modern era (Post 2000s) and compare it to DeMar Derozans, they're about the same, with DeMar having higher efficiency.
So Tristan Thompson = Moses Malone??
:wtf:

The absurd salaries are going to kill the league. No player is going to have that real hunger, but will from their rookie contract be able to swag out and focus on nightlife and Kardashian family whores.
I see a market for a competing product, the best thing would be if college made some rules against one and dones. No one wants to watch this reality show called NBA anymore.

No it's not. The league makes more money than ever. The money has to go to someone. The cap on max salaries hurts the league exponentially more. It's what allows superstars to collude together.

This is a ****ing masterpiece.
Deserves to be laminated and placed in the ISH Shrine so future generations can see how great a mind the creator of the LeBron Family had.

Thanks man!
Means a lot to me. But in reality I'm just a regular member of the LeBron Family. There's nothing special about my position compared to the other members
I'm simply a humble poster who's only mission is to spread objective, rational posts that seek to educate posters, while eradicating the poor logic here.

And you think thats bad for revenue/ratings?
Or youre just obsessed with seeing the CBA as a race issue and playing the liberal robin hood for those needy, dependent black men who would be lost without a progressive hero like you?

The league is at the lowest point of talent it has been since the 1970s. It's just the way the league is. Scrubs are getting PAID.

Yeah, and that MLE was often seen as outrageous overpaying.
Good old days indeed. It's insane what guys make now.
I am ok with basketball players making more money across the board. The revenue amounts justify it. But these role players pushing for maxes just because they rebound... it's disgusting.

Except that Derozan has no championship pedigree and is inferior in nearly every skill category to Jordan?
Oh and that little thing called killer instinct.
Why doI even bother feeding this fckup

Problem is hes only 8/8 because he plays backup minutes, I could easily see him putting up 11-13 ppg and 10-11 rpg on a good team as a starter. No team should have someone with his talents as a backup. Not to mention very solid defense and he's still developing.

You can't know that, though. He's a great third big, but that doesn't mean that if he gets twice as many minutes, he'll do twice as much stuff. Some guys are better suited to bench roles, other guys only make sense as starters.
Not saying you're wrong, but I don't think TT has shown anything to indicate he can go from being Paul Millsap in Utah behind Boozer to Paul Millsap in Atlanta the All-Star.
Millsap is known for hustle and toughness, but he also has a 3-ball, moves the ball intelligently, understands his team's plays and sets. TT simply goes after offensive boards and lobs. And not in a way that suggests the unique knack for it of a Dennis Rodman, more like a guy who's athletic and tries hard but can't do anything else.

Erick Dampier: 7 year 73 million dollars
Jim McIlvaine: 7 year 33 million
Eddy Curry: 6 year 56 million
Samuel Dalembert: 6 year 64 million
Brian Grant: 7 year 86 million
Jayson Williams: 6 years 86 million
And those contracts were long before the TV revenue kicked in and ballooned the payrolls. Average big men have always gotten paid. But when the average poster on this site is 15 years old, they don't remember the past.....

I don't understand what TT's argument is on why he deserves 100m, he played in all games last season yet only started in 15...a bench player is asking for 100m...yea, get him tf out. I hope this kills his career, no one to pay him, no one to play him. I honestly would love to hear wtf him and his agent are saying to the Cavs, literally the only thing he does exceptionally well is rebounding on the offensive end, that's IT. He's a moron, and spoiled af.
I say spoiled because you guys did hear about his agent turning down 5yrs/94m, right? In favor of 3yrs/52m.............I know the cap is being raised, but homie, 20m a season is phenomenal no matter what the cap, and you don't even deserve the money! :facepalm
