With point guards Rondo and Darren Collison, and a host of athletic players, he hopes to play at a breakneck pace. ... Cauley-Stein, the No. 6 pick of the 2015 NBA Draft out of Kentucky, showed up to training camp out of shape, but reportedly has regained his form in time for tonight's exhibition opener.

I wonder if the Blazers can get Cousins. Would the Kings pull the trigger on a deal if Blazers traded a 1st round pick? Not even sure if we have a 1st round pick next year but I think with an all-star big this team would could recover quickly.

Batum and Lopez are easily replaceable. Matthews is tough but we could do it. It's losing Aldridge that will bury this teams chances of being a contender.

My issue with this kings roster is that they certainly have talent (although i'm not sure they all fill the right roles together make up wise) but I don't think they have the attitude or personalities that will enjoy sticking with a team that is still building something. They could have too many guys who will make it a hostile locker room when they lose winnable games. Rondo can be a good leader but if he's in a bad situation he can be a cancer too. Kings should try and trade for a no bullshit vet who can lead this team while developing, try and improve the culture.

We probably agree on more than one thing, I just hate it when teams won't listen to criticism of their players and throw out stupid predications for young guys who clearly need time to develop.

On that note WCS looks decent so far, still needs to prove he can defend physical NBA bigs one on one though which I am sure he will learn in time but could play a big part in how many minutes he can play in his rookie year while having little offence.

Post game thoughts;

Not sure about DMC-Koufos starting lineup... Don't think it was a major problem but I think WCS starting with DMC would be better, and our bench would be solid.

DC or Rondo? Not sure yet, but it's glaring that we need Marco to play with Rondo.

WCS was good on defense, okay on offense. Needs to be better boxing out and rebounding

Rudy was terrible. Will need to see more

Demarcus was dominant as usual. Kings need to go to DMC when the offense is sticking. Even some drive and kicks.

Marco is our sniper.
