Chicago is worse than last year, Saad is killing in the pre-season for CBJ his loss is huge.

The Ducks (only team that has gotten significantly better than last year with pickups plus their young D men and goalies are a year older) and Tampa (stacked) are favorites.

Raffi Torres got 41 games suspension, the third longest in NHL history (McSorley got a season, and a dude from almost a century ago got banned for life).

It looks like NHL has solved John Scott being in NHL All-star Game travesty. Scott was traded to Canadiens in a three-team trade deal and is immediately sent down to AHL, thus makes him ineligible to be in All-Star Game.

It's there for the taking. This is Washington's best chance if ever. The conference is so broken and weak I don't see a real threat.
