View Full Version : Is the strongside 1VS1 iso defense the least efficient form of defense ?

Miami played it 2011 against Dirk, while the Mavs were using zone defense against Wade and Lebron.

Can you think of one team that won with this kind of defense in the last years? It's an outdated form of defense which was played in the 80s and 90s.

No amount of defensive gimmicks beats out a skilled man defender rolling up his sleeves and clowning an offensive player for a whole series. Finals MVP indeed. :applause:

Can an expert explain to me why it worked for the Warriors?

I always thought that kind of defense is inferior to zone defenses.

Lebron WAS lighting them up

But he ran out of gas playing upwards of 44 minutes a game

He has played more games than anyone in the last 5 years

More games in a 5 year period than anyone else
