All aboard mutha****as!
6'6" 240. Great defensive potential. Team player with good court vision. Already a confident and competent 3 point shooter, so he'll be able to see a lot of playing time and develope. Strong as an ox, with a decent handle and good scoring instincts around the hoop.

In this day and age, where versatility and shooting are so valuable, SJ might represent the prototypical wing player of the future. He's a point-power-wing.

Oh... He's a guard? Shit, I thought he was a big for some reason. That's probably more exciting for the league with the lack of SG talent.

Oh... He's a guard? Shit, I thought he was a big for some reason. That's probably more exciting for the league with the lack of SG talent. He's currently a small forward by trade. However, he's apparently capable to play in the backcourt as well. Reggie Jackson, Brandon Jennings, and Steve Blake are all currently out with injuries right now, so Johnson saw a lot of time at point last night against the Pacers. He actually outperformed the Pistons' starting point, Spencer Dinwiddie. Though, Johnson did get his pocket picked a couple times by Toney Douglas.

why do you always post some big ass picture that ****s up the thread so it's hard to read
anyway, the way stanley drives and his brusing style is similar to elgin baylor.. he's not elgin, but his body-type and playing style looks like some elgin footage

Woah...you didn't mention MJ once in this post. :applause: hopefully you'll continue to not shitpost in the future.
My only issue with Stanley Johnson is his shooting form..
Form and lift is kinda low, kinda blockable but other than that. He got a nice stroke.

I'll say, it seems he's able to compensate for that low load by having a pretty quick release. From what I've been able to tell, he's been able to get off the shots he's needed so far.
Here he is talking about his form, and his work with Dave Hopla, the Pistons' new shooting coach: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pvy0kam1MxM

Yeah, it would be nicer if he released it higher, but his stroke is surprisingly quick. If he's going to be spotting up for must of his J's anyways, I don't see it holding him back in the short term. Obviously if he's going to be a 1st or 2nd option scorer he will have to improve his release and off the bounce shooting.
