Steph is clinging to the past. He knows he didnt deserve MVP. He knows the numerous asterisks on their title. He knows he faced weak or injured PGs every round. He knows the Warriors defense was by far more important to their success in the postseason having the best defense statistically since the 04 Pistons in playoffs. He knows he is a liability on defense, got exposed by Conley, Delly and Kyrie and needed big bros Klay and Shaun to bail him out. He remembers getting dropped by 40yo Jason Terry. He knows he wasnt even one of the 7 most important defenders on his team, wasnt important at all on defense. He knows he got outplayed by an Australian manlet for 2/5 games he started. He knows he was 0/11 in FMVP votes having all Warriors votes come from a bench player. This season he KNOWS it wont be the same. He has peaked.

Not a fan of the asterisk arguments but if you were gonna pick a team to give it to, it would have to be the Warriors last year.

why is that?
no team wins a title without some lucky breaks, the warriors were no different.

I agree. You always need some luck to win it all but the way the Western Conference parted like the Red Sea for the Warriors was too much. I think they were a great team that probably could've won it all even if the other teams were at full strength. But we never got to see that.

GSW fans remind me a lot of Dallas fans, they know shit aint happening again any time soon so they are milking it. I wouldn't be talking at all if I legit played against second string players for a whole playoff run and didn't average like 30-35 and was considered at an elite scorer in the league. While I still won, that shit's embarrassing...team legit won games against that team having second and third string players D-ing up the current MVP? Never in my life would I let them get away with that, he's just lucky his team carried him through.
You guys want to put him up there in the upper echelon of scorers due to his efficiency but I'm not buying that shit. If 06 Arenas took his place, he would have straight up swept the cavs the **** outta there with 40+ across the board just like any other all time great scorer.

It's embarrassing that he won a title while averaging 28 PPG, just a few years after his career was in jeopardy due to injuries? While playing on a team that nobody expected to win the title before the season? And he played in the brutal western conference and still managed to lead his team to 67 wins.
lol at Lebron fanboys talking about an "easy road". Your dude plays in the weakest ****ing conference in history and gets to cruise to the finals every year while playing against garbage competition.

Better than not winning anything.
GS fans had to go through 40 years without a title. I never saw GS fans talk reckless for the majority of the season and if it was, it was like 1 guy.
How is shit not happening anytime soon and it's comparable to Dallas ? Dallas was a veteran team that won on it's last legs, while this GS team is in it's prime. Infact, for all those whole love rebuilds from their own picks, 4 of GS's why starters were all draft picks. Dallas hired mercenaries. But that's beside the point, no team has never won without a break or more.

Yeah because being an MVP means being a ball hog, dribbling thru double teams, traps, and forcing the action. I guess that's how San Antonio has done it all these years, and why Arenas and Bron have so many rings.
