Calling it now.

Mid range jumper that he worked on all summer and during his year in the trash euroleague.

He's 7'3 with long monkey arms like Rondo. Imagine Hibbert, but x2 longer.

He's on the Hawks.

He is a defensive monster.

What is his potential? GOAT? Superstar? Allstar? Above average? Average? Below average? Scrub? Scalabrine?

Fixed your order :biggums:

I don't think I've seen enough of him to judge his potential but I'm hoping he turns out well, very interesting player to watch

Mhmm, he obliterated it in the summer league averaging 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 damn blocks a game averaging under 20 minutes.

His stats tonight against the cavs:

11 mins of play time

11 points
4 rebounds
5-5 from the field

This man is a beast. The Hawks are BETTER this year than last year. People will sleep on them as usual however

Holy shit! I love how fearless Tavares is! He never backs down. Ya can't win him all but he has the right attitude. Gonna be an elite rim protector

He won't average more than 10 minutes this season. Unless injuries.

when did all the hawks fans on the board develop such an inferiority complex?

I think he has a shot to be a good player... I mean, someone with his size and shot blocking potential is something we haven't seen here since Deke was here.

But superstar? Nah...

In Europe, the best leagues are, in order:

1. Euroleague

2. Eurocup

3. Turkish League

4. Spanish League

Tavares played in the Eurocup and the Spanish League. He played in the 2nd and 4th best leagues in Europe.

Now, STFU asshole, and

How is the Turkish league better than the ACB, exactly?

How is the Turkish league better than the ACB, exactly?

In the last several years, the Spanish League has gotten progressively worse every single year, while the Turkish League has gotten progressively better every single year.

It's pretty much common knowledge that the Turkish League is the best national domestic league in Europe now.

The only things saying otherwise are the morons like ESPN, Fran Fraschilla, Draftexpress.com - in other words, the same morons that never knew anything about European basketball to begin with.

Also, it's highly debatable that the Spanish League is even better, or even as good as, for that matter, as the VTB United League. But since the VTB United League fluctuates so much on which teams are in it every year, I will still put the Spanish League ahead of it, just barely.
