When I make it down to Florida, I go for the real deal, but in the meantime...

I was like 9 the last time I ate deviled ham.
I still mess with sardines from time to time.

I just started eating raw oysters eight months ago when I moved here. By any objective measure, they are the ugliest f*cking things you could ask to see...giant boogers in a shell. But they are just...f*cking...delicious.

Is that the name for it?
When you at a restaurant, do you say "Waiter, might I have the aborted duck egg."

Duck, fresh after slitting the neck. Leaving it out at room temperature for it to turn solid.

Don't think I really eat anything disgusting. I know a lot of Americans think vegemite is disgusting but most of them probably tried eating it like jam.

Nah, oysters are fine. And I'm really selective with food (there's a lot of things i flat out won't eat, even common shit like eggs)
i'd rather eat pretty much anything from the sea over something like an ox or a goat

Not really disgusting, but some of the not so common ones I've eaten are:
Frogs, snails (escargot), turtle, oysters, alligator, kangaroo, venison, elk, ostrich, bison, and camel.

Speaking of snails. My mother who lives in Florida has this Filipino neighbor, and I swear this is the grossest thing I've seen. The grandmother of the neighbor comes from the Phillippines every so often and she will round up all the garden snails nearby and crush their shells and scoop them out to eat.
