They've done simulations on this already. Jets are designed to handle being hit with objects without melting. The damage done on 9/11 is not consistent with a building crashing into a jet. But that's the Goverment for ya.

Btw... Jet fuel CAN melt steel if it's in a enclosed area. Even burning wood can melt steel in an enclosed area.

But when the over door is closed, in that enclosed area, the heat will cook your food. If you're outdoors, you're not going to be able to melt a steel beam with burning jet fuel.
