Kobe in his 20th season looking like a damn top 5 player again.
He's so skilled that he can dominate without elite athleticism.
Most skilled player of all time. Best longevity all time.
#2 GOAT.

Kobe is close, though. Definitely has better longevity, which means more skill. MJ has the better peak.

An argument can be made that Kobe is better than MJ.
I mean look how Kobe is looking now at this age than MJ.
Careers don't end after peak/prime years.
Certainly the greatest, or one of the greatest of all time.

Certainly no quickness. MJ had not footwork. He was like a poor man's Glen Rice during this same age.
Kobe is still spinning, driving and using his quick feet.
Kobe knows this too and that is why he doesn't want people to compare him to MJ. This year and perhaps if he plays another year will show people just how better of a player he is than MJ.

kobe could do this sh*t till age 50 if he wanted to
just catch and shoot. no more trying to do it all cover PG/SG and SF duties
kobe can finally play the ray allen role and hes basically putting up 26ppg per 36minutes

It will be great to see Kobe return to his old form for a few more seasons. Kobe has had a lot of injuries but he is the most skilled player around. He will be a weapon if he can stay healthy.

Every skills and moves kobe has done that MJ has done it too. The only different is MJ doesn't do that fancy moves often like kobe because he doesn't need to which give you an illusion that kobe is more skills.

have you ever torn your achilles tendon
most people never even play pick up basketball again after that
kobes playing nba basketball
it takes atleast 2-3 years to fully recover from that. the tendon is an elastic band attatched to the calf muscle. it needs extensive rehabilitation not only physically. but mentally aswell
kobe was hesitant and didnt have the proper shooting technique coming back from the injury
hes shortened his release point

If he stays healthy, Lakers will be in the playoffs and have a great shot at the finals. Kobe's knees are the only thing holding us back. Hopefully close to 2 years of rest will help him out.

I believe the achilles really hold him back but I also think he was rusty due to one year lay off.

Unfortunately, Kobe doesn't collude and probably has no chance at the finals unless LA makes a big trade...which the current regime seems too stupid to complete.
However, if Kobe can have a solid season and LA can win 40 or so game, it will only elevate his status.
His roster is shit.

Face it, LA has a shit roster in the greatest conference in NBA history. However, if he can get this shit roster to 40 wins, which wouldn't even sniff the playoffs in the west, it will only grow his legend. Think about it...
He will prove himself to have the greatest longevity of all time, which will only cement that his skill is the greatest of all time.
Out of the top 10 all time, Kobe has no superior physical trait. (Or overall size) MJ had the huge hands and athleticism. Kareem had the size. Bird was 6'9 250. Duncan has the size. Etc. Kobe is 6'7 and 220, doesn't have huge hands, isn't the most athletic of his era, etc. However, he was the best player of the decade because of skill. He's the 2nd GOAT because of skill.
THAT is why people like me respect Kobe the most...he is simply the most skilled player in NBA history. He had to work the hardest to become what he is
