Memphis started to play basketball

WTF is that supposed to mean? They should beat this team by like 50 points.

This is one of the craziest box play by plays I have ever seen.

Seriously, how the hell is that even possible?

This same team would be lucky to not lose by 30-50 points to any team in the Euroleague.

This is a mind blowing result.

And they only scored 97 points? What in the freaking hell?

Look at Maccabi Haifa's roster - this can't be real.........

Memphis could play a team of toddlers and the result would be a grind it out 82-71 victory.

Huh?

That team Memphis played against has a roster at the level of basically one of the very worst teams in like the Italian League or the Greek League, and I am probably being generous.

They would get absolutely wrecked, completely annihilated at Euroleague level.

I am talking even the worst scrub Euroleague team should easily beat them by 20-30 points, never mind the top Euroleague teams would beat them by 40-50 points.

They would lose every single game they played in Euroleague, but not just lose them, every game would be a complete destruction of a blowout.

And it was 77-81 against the Grizzlies late in the 4th quarter, with 3 NBA refs, NBA rules, playing in Memphis?

That's one of the craziest things I have ever seen in basketball. Like how the hell could that even happen?

This is like if in college football, Alabama beat a Division III school in Tuscaloosa, on a last minute drive, with a field goal or some shit.

Ask anyone that knows about European basketball, and they will be mind blown over that.

If you asked me before that game to predict how many the Grizzlies would win by, I would predict 50-70 points. It's not even just any NBA team, it's a year in year out Western Conference playoff team.

Jeff Green didn't play, and neither did Tony Allen.

Never mind their starters playing ~20 minutes. These NBA players don't take EL teams all that serious, yet still manage to eviscerate them :confusedshrug:

Looking at the box score it looks like Memphis only played 4v5 starters so makes sense they would only beat a eurotrash team by 13.

Looks like Euroleague is butt hurt that a first round NBA playoff team traveled to Europe beat a Top 16 Euroleague team by 33 in their home court and than went to the home court of the Euroleague champions and beat them by 15.

Not too mention tonight a Final Four Euroleague team getting destroyed by 30 points by an NBA team that did not even make the playoffs last year.

The NBA should schedule more game against Israeli teams because these 30 point romps of Euroleague's best aren't even competitive anymore.

It's really men against boys out there.

Looks like the clown of all clowns waited for the Euroleague to play high school players against NBA teams so they could win those games, so he could brag.

STFU

No one with any dignity would even mention any of those games except the Milano against Celtics game.

The other games the Euroleague coaches clearly tanked the game. I turned off the Fener - OKC game at halftime it was such a blatant tank job by Fener.

It was absurd playing high school kids and a SG as a PG running the team's offense.

The Real - Celtics game was almost as bad, playing 3 freaking high school players, none of which has ever played a Euroleague game, and 2 of which were called straight from their high school team, and never even suited up for the practice squad in their life before.

And amazingly, the very next day the coach announced Rudy was fine to play....

The Celtics had a legit win over Milano. Those other games were absolute BLATANT tank jobs.

Which is absolutely pathetic and disgusting. But Obradovic and Laso are pretty much pathetic POS human beings, so no surprise I guess. Obradovic would probably sell his own mother for 5 bucks.

As far as bragging about beating Maccabi Haifa, yeah, bragging about beating a team that is what, a top 400 or so team in Europe, by 13 points, and being up 4 points late in the 4th quarter, WOW, only someone like YOU would even attempt something like that. Well, maybe you, Dr.J4ever and Rooster. So you and all your other troll aliases.

OK another European team overseas

Bottom line, the NBA basically has a .800 record vs Euroleague teams ALL TIME:

lol That's what is comes down to. The blowouts are so obscene you can't even blame the refs anymore so the teams are now purposely tanking against NBA teams.

Did Spanoulis and Bourousis and team Greece purposely tank in these years Eurobasket again? lol

Now to expose your lie about Maccabi Haifa.

The only Euroleague team in the Israeli league is Maccabi Tel Aviv who last year made the Euroleague Semi-finals (top 4 team) and the year before that were the Euroleague champions. But last year in the Israeli league they also lost in Israeli league semi-finals and not even to the eventual champions but the runner-up Hapoel Eilat which beat them in the series 3-2.

But wait it get better. In the round before that, the quarter-finals, Hapoel played Maccabi Haifa and beat them in the same amount of games it took to beat the final-four Euroleague team Maccabi Tel Aviv 3-2.

So Hapoel Eilet beat a top 400 European team by 3-2 and then went on to beat a top 4 European team by 3-2.

Yeah right.

Like I said in another thread, if its not "refs!", its "well, the europeans weren't trying to win". Depending on the scoreboard, EL will pull these LAME excuses at the drop of a hat.

Its not enough that Team USA is undefeated in FIBA and Olympic play since 2007.... Euroleague teams have got to play at FULL strength, make no mistakes, and play absolutely perfect for this guy to deem it a legit matchup. It doesn't matter that NBA starters only play half their regular-season and playoff minutes. :oldlol:

The Celtics played guys that will never make their team or will not be on rotation for the entire 4th quarter and for total of 100 minutes of the game. If Jeff Taylor is an important player on that Real Madrid then it's a worst talent than any NBA team because Jeff Taylor was an NBA reject.:oldlol:

Looking at Maccabi Haifa against the Lakers, I got the sighting of Dijon Thompson who played at Westwood. And Ryan Kelly who play like a Euro blocked a couple of shots.:wtf:
