After seeing how Golden State was held back by Mark Jackson's many failures and seemingly winning the championship just by changing their head coach, which other current NBA team could win it all by just changing their head coach?

Obvious answer is OKC. Talent is there, injuries have to be avoided come playoff time.

Maybe Westbrook's style isn't conducive to winning NBA titles.

You are beyond delusional if you think any coach could win a chip, or even make the Playoffs with that Lakers squad.

Didn't you predict that actually do it regardless this year? :oldlol:

Don't know about that, but I think he's definitely a better coach than Phil and easily the best coach in the game today.

You're also right that he can turn chicken shit into salad...at the crook of a finger....

But yeah, winning a title with this current Laker team is a HUGE stretch. :oldlol:

LOL @ thinking it was all Jackson's fault and a change for a 1st year head coach was the main reason they won the championship.

How about Jackson helped mold those players into who they are and they proceeded to get better as they got more experience as a team??

I didn't even hear any GS players say it.... but it's pretty shitty on their part for not giving Jackson any credit whatsoever after winning the title. If they did, I rescind my comment.

Lakers with David Blatt. That STUD had a 2-1 Finals lead without Love, Kyrie and LeKING shooting 39%.

Lakers with Lebron. Hed be player coach and give himself all of Kobe's minutes. Instant 3-peak with that squad.

Why do you say that? Which playoff series has he cost them? Last year, Durant was hurt so OKC wasn't going to win anyway. And in 2013, Westbrook was hurt so OKC got demolished by the Grizzlies. IF OKC NEVER WINS, it won't be because of Westbrook. He has outplayed every PG he's ever played against in the playoffs, for the entire series. The only series that comes close is against the Mavs in 2011.

Pretty much this. Kerr never even had assistant coaching experience. tbh, Gentry probably deserves a little bit of credit too. Also, Anderson Varejao, Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving :lol

I think GS using their experience from previous years and players getting better, had more to do with them winning than just Kerr taking over. Kerr was an upgrade, but lets not act like that's all that changed. A young team can make big strides over the years, which is what happened with GS.

But as for the thread, I'd say OKC is probably the first team that comes to mind, granted we haven't seen Donovan coach yet.

It had a lot to do with Jackson (both ways) - Kerr said nothing really needed to be changed with the defense because Jackson did such a good job, but he was running one of the worst offenses in the league (even though we know they had the talent capable of being a top three offense).

So yes, in a sense it was Jackson's fault, because he had his team running Isolation plays almost every time down the court, and you simply can't win a championship like that nowadays.

Warriors.
Rockets.
Thunder.
Cavs with a GOAT coach.
