Probably, which is a near-inevitability when you contextualize Kobe's manner of defense and Dirk's propensity towards accosting the referees when a call doesn't land in his favor.

Rather than using quick-footed lateral mobility and angular footwork, Kobe has become an effective defender mostly through handwork and bodying up other players. The referees usually aren't as whistle-happy towards his physical brand of defense compared to other players, but Dirk would eventually push the referees' hand whenever there is a whiff of contact on him
