Thanks TMZ ??
Master P is being emotional. Kobe wasn't saving his life from turning into the mess it is. Nobody was.

Thats ridiculous. Its honorable that Master P has stayed loyal to his friend, but it's not Kobe Bryants job to take care of Lamar Odom. Hes a grown as 35 year old man.
What is it with these people that try to overrate sports relationships???? Last year that reporter claimed that Lebron James was like a father to Kyrie Irving. Posters on here constantly saying Micahel Jordan made Scottie Pippen a man. This is just insane. Its basketball.

Master P seems to be the one looking for some publicity over all this

I get what P was saying but at that level even a star player like Kobe has no business guaranting a roster spot to his friend. Also 29 other teams could have signed him and size is very valuable to teams. I think drugs and personal issues kept Odom from continuing to play at a NBA level. Even then players have to realize you have to hang up your hat eventually and create a sustainable and enjoyable life after basketball.

Didn't Kobe go see Lamar right after the pre-season game, as soon as he heard about his condition?
I pray Lamar is okay. He is one of the most likable people in the NBA and has been one of my favorite players since his Heat days.
He really doesn't deserve this at all. Outside of basketball, he has lived his life in hell. He deserves to live happy and stress free. I think in large part why Khloe & Lamar divorced was because of Lamar's father. He kept coming in & out of his life, asking him for favors and then disappearing. I think in large part that had a lot to do with him doing crack etc.
The betrayal of the Lakers was the end for him.
Think of it from a logical stand point. He won championships with the team, he was a BIG part of their success, he met Khloe in LA; for LA to do that to him was business (to them). To Lamar it was personal.
For someone who has endured so many tragedies, whose father left him when he was young; LA trading him made him not wanted. In a way, I believe, it reminded him of his father which explained his poor performance and attitude in Dallas and resulted in his career being over.
I really do believe that trade was the ice-breaker for Lamar.
I genuinely want him to recover and live a happy life, very few public figures have made me feel this distraught. Lamar really is a good guy, with a big heart; who just can't overcome tragedies in his life.

You can't force anyone to hire a crackhead. I don't care if you're the president himself.
Master P talking like someone who still sells dope to people for a living.

Let's be reasonable. This is pure BS. Kobe and other superstars can be d***'s but this is so stupid :facepalm
I don't agree with him. Who knows? Maybe he tried to get him back on the Lakers but Lamar was just too much in his downward spiral at that point.
With that said, I don't see why the Lakers wouldn't have at least tried. What was the worst that could've happened? Lakers have been terrible. Pretty much tanking. Maybe it would've saved his life if they gave him at least a tryout
What's pretty sick is we know this will be a Kardashian episode. Even if there is genuine care for him, I doubt they're motives aren't at least somewhat driven by that. And really, the fact that it's from the famed Cathouse i.e. the HBO show, just makes it that much more of a compelling TV show. But it's sad cause this real life dissent is actually going to be played on TV.

Seriously, Master P? :facepalm Master P is way out of bounds on this one. Does he not remember the fact that Lamar left the Lakers, it was done on impulse because they wanted to trade him, but then changed their minds. He got upset, and he left, despite the fact that they asked him to stay. The Mavericks offered him a spot, but then, for whatever reason, Lamar performed badly, they had to let him go. He found another spot with the Clippers, he was let go. Phil Jackson of the New York Knicks offered him a spot, he never showed up. How many chances did he have that he blew?
I guess that is also Kobe

Kobe is definitely a vain, arrogant, selfish prick...but you can't save a drug addict. They can only save themselves.

He is definitely right about it being an act in terms of the Kardashians. I think Kobe genuinely cares.

Yep. I blame Kobe for that usher losing his job because the popcorn machine broke down that lead to the popcorn workers not being able to get the popcorn popped fast enough. Darn that Kobe.

He shouldn't have said that about Kobe in particular. Has nothing to do with publicity, he just wanted to visit his friend. Plus we don't know what happened behind the scenes, maybe he did try to help Lamar.
But I agree with what he's basically saying in general. You see everybody coming out saying all these kind things about Lamar and supporting him NOW after the condition he's in but I doubt half these people would even be bothered to help the brother when he was going through his problems.
It's like people have to wait until someone dies or gets sick to help/support them or appreciate who they were.
