Old-timers around here talking like defenders had giant impenetrable forcefields. The legendary Handcheck was too POWERFUL they had to get rid of it.

3ball/Don, could I get some POWERFUL gifs of the heralded El' Handcheck?

Its pretty ****ing OP. You can basically use your forearm to redirect and slow down a driving player. Its pretty nuts when a strong dude does it to a lightweight.

[B]I believe it was in 1978-79 when they removed "real" hand-checking... One could still do it as long as it didn't impede the opponent

If you tried it you wouldn't be in doubt, it is much more difficult to get past your man and requires much greater accelerations and change of direction. Also tires you out real quick and keep in mind these NBA players are strong mofos.

Yet oldBe stopped him.

Bron perhaps in his prime with a full steam couldn't steam roll and blow by oldBe.

Where 15 year olds post non stop about the NBA but have never picked up a basketball.
