I was chatting with this girl the other night I met from online message board and she was saying she was from a section of PA called Lansdale. All of a sudden I have events popping up in my news feed about what's happening in Lansdale this weekend? HUH?
I need someone to talk to me about what's really happening

Did you make a google search for Lansdale? If yes, then that is probably the answer.

Yeah I did. SMH
There's a thread on this on reddit. It's pretty huge. Basically people are saying Facebook is listening to your conversations to provide ads. It's crazy.

FB makes its money from advertising, ergo their software is wired to track everything you like, comment on, what you say in your FB messages along with where you live and where your friends live in order to deliver a customized advertising experience so that you'll click on those damn ads. Same thing with Google...every single thing you search is logged and stored so that the search engine can push ads to your PC based on what you've searched for in the past.
Facebook app actively listens through your phone's microphone for this very reason. Either live with it or uninstall the app from your device..
