Role players around the league are currently rejoicing. They're chances of winning Finals MVP has just increased.

It's something to take in consideration.
It's much better to take weak teams to finals than to lose in 1st round.

Jerry West went 1-9 in the Finals (with some great performances).

Jerry West>LeBron.

Nice job, OP :applause:

Sure, but why is it even a thing that is pointed out? Its either a championship or not. If we should make note of finals appearances, why not conference finals appearances? How about 2nd round appearances? How about just getting to the playoffs? I don't ever remember people feeling the need to point Magic's 4, Wilt's 4, Kareem's 4, Bird's 2, Shaq's 2, and Kobe's 2 additional finals appearances where they lost. Why is it a thing now?

Lebron fans love pointing out the flaw in criticizing him for 2/6. They have a point. But on the other hand, why are Lebron fans actually celebrating it? Especially when it's being done in a historically weak conference.

If LeBron makes it to his 6th consecutive finals, I don't think his body is going to hold up good at all

Cause Bron is the only player in the modern era to go 5 years in a row. The East may not be strong, but it's no weaker than the 80's West or early 2000's East. Magic wasn't able to make 5 Finals in a row, even with having much superior teammates.

finals made is only something to brag about if youre a player thats never won anything and youre comparing yourself to another player thats never won anything

:oldlol:

and this is coming from a fan of a guy whos made more finals than MJ

This is why people spam 2/6. Guy gets to cruise through the pathetic joke that is the Eastern conference every year.

That alone makes the "achievement" overrated.

People should REALLY stop trying to put finals appearances in the same breath with titles, or anywhere NEAR the same vicinity.

I'm a fan of Kobe, but as Kenneth said, nobody really props up his finals appearances (more than MJ). They're impressive just simply not worth the admiration LeBron fans give their boy.

Winning the east = Making the playoffs in the west. Ima huge Brantard but Finals appearances do not count as accolades in current east.

You're right about the 80s west being weak. And NO ONE gives a shit that Magic has 9 total finals appearances.

This is like person A getting a job interview over person B but person A still didn't get the job just like person B. Are we supposed to be praising person A like he accomplished anything notable over person B? They both still didn't get the job.

He should be like Curry and not face single healthy team. Imagine if in 2012 Lebron faced:
Knicks with injured Melo
Pacers with no Paul George
Celtics with Pierce missing half the series
And in the Finals face the Thunder with KD only playing one game.
The East is the only joke tho:yaohappy:

Did the OP inadvertently lay shit on Lebron and make a thread which highlights Lebron's underwhelming winning percentage in finals?

I knew OP was stupid, but this clown SHOULD NOT be in med school.

Jordan's easiest path through the East had better competition than LeBron's toughest competition in the East.
